View Full Version : Bleach Ep. 111..."blah"

Wow, This episode went from "blah" to sour.

For those who've seen the episode you must be as disappointed with it as I am.

I haven't watch a single episode of the filler, But who are those 3 puppets/humans things? Man they annoy me. A lot.
Am I the only one who sees more fillers in the future?

Even though most of the episode was kinda "blah", Isshin's arrival was great (I loved that score they played when he was talking to the Arrancar) :D

I haven't watched 111 yet (downloading as we speak) but I started to read some of the manga after the SS arc and am excited to see some of the upcoming stuff animated. . .

I was rather hoping that they'd phase out the filler characters/references once they got back to canon material, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I can understand keeping the filler 'modified souls' characters for future filler use, but they really shouldn't be mixed into canon storyline. I hope they find a way to get them out of the story asap; it was bad enough they were there for Isshin's scene, I sure don't want to see them when the rest of the Arrancar show up.

Wow, this was pretty dissapointing. Why are the filler characters in this episode doing absolutely meaningless things that don't contribute to the plot at all? I just hope the animation gets better for the upcoming Arrancar fights.

The filler characters were there just to take up time, but... I was peeved to see them too.=\ I wanted to see more action.

After watching the episode, I'm gonna have to agree with everyone and say the filler characters are pointless and it did annoy me to some degree to see them get so much "air time."

Filler characters interacting with the canon storyline is some cringe worthy sh . ..stuff.

You cant expect the filler characters to completely disappear right after the filler arc.....They also have to build the story up so its going to be like this for at least 2 more eps. I don't think this episode sucked although I am disappointed at how much time was wasted on the filler characters and kon when there are more important things to show.

Juicelee777
January 19th, 2007, 04:34 PM
yeah this ep was some bs but I understand why they added the bounto ballsacks in this. its mainly because if you look at the actual manga of this particular episode kon runs around only for like 2 or 3 pages if you were trying to do that without the three testicle hairs you would have had kon running for like 10 minutes straight or you would have had to make a butt load of non cannon filler dialouge (i.e. a 15 minute flashback about some rediculous event that completly defines why there is no money in being a quincy) in short I can accept it but I hope its not like this the whole cannon arc

I mean hell if you need a filler character that bad then bring back Don Kanonji at least he was funny

bwa haha...sorry

i guess the filler characters are in there to slow down the rate at which the anime is going... the manga only has about... iono... 70-80ish chapter lead on it? at this rate, the anime will catch up to the manga in no time...

crap... i just realized that i just summarized juicelee... oh well. no sense it deleting it once i posted it.

i really shouldn't have read the manga beforehand... that also helped to take away some of the excitement.

Dang you people are picky. I've watched every single episode including the fillers and the only thing I didn't like was the large amount of talking. I don't mind the filler characters, it's not going to kill you if there in a episode for no more then 3 minutes. If it's more then remove all sharp objects away from you.

My only question is why the freak did they make Ichigo's dad a Shinigami. Not only stupid but he's a captain-class. I don't read the manga but if I did I still would have been peeved.

If they needed more time for the manga to get farther storywise before making the anime canon then frankly I would prefer another filler arc to them changing canon material.

Actually I think its an excellent way to show how Ichigo can even become a shinigami without Rukia's powers. Its in his blood. Thus, a large plot hole has been filled.

Until they significantly change anything in the manga I think everyone should just STFU. All they did this episode was lengthen the chase scene, its not like Ririn defeated the Arrancar or anything like that. Would you rather they add more fillers like Naruto did, cause Bleach fillers weren't even 1/3 the length of Naruto fillers. The faster the anime goes through the manga chapters, the faster we get back to 100% episode fillers.

If the manga was 200+ chapters ahead, or finished, I could see why people would be angry but that is not the case. And if you don't like the direction of the anime, don't watch it. Its that simple.

I agree, that was cool. Also Ishida's dad showed up and kicked ***. They've revived the conflict of Quincy vs. Shinigami. I wonder which dad is stronger.

It means he's more than just a leech off of Rukia and more than a shinigami rep. It also means that the whole conflict of sentencing Rukia to death was WRONG.

Really after I started hearing that they were cutting the battle shorter than they where in the manga. I could tell that something like this was gonna happen. My question is why didn't they see this coming from the beginning and keep the anime going at a slower pace. Please don't shoot me if some of the info I got was wrong.

As for the filler characters being in the cannon arc. I'm fine with it as long as they don't doing anything to drastically change the real story. It's just something that we have to deal with for now.

Ichigos dad a Shinigami Captain was totally bad ***. I kind of wonder if Ichigo having his Spirit power capped basically, was his dads doing. Was his dad faking this whole time then, that he couldn't see spirits? Ichigo is going to have a cow when he finds out (if he finds out :P). It was a major suprise that he was a Shinigami, but it did make sense I guess. I suppose it was something like he was a death god, saw Ichigos mom, and fell in love, and abandoned being a death god to marry her and raise a family.

also adding that he blmed himself for his wifes death so thats another reason he quit as well

but otherwise you hit the nail on the head if I remember the manga correctly

but on a side note I've always wanted to ask this question if isshin was a shinigami before he met ichigo's mom then that means he was dead right? so does that mean he used a faux body to make whoopee in karukaru? so like what does that make ichigo and his sisters? they are 50% human 25% faux body and 25% spirit beings? O.o

One theory I have, which is based on the popular opinion that Isshin was the previous Captain of the 11th Division (that Zaraki killed to become Captain), is that he was given special priviledges upon "death". Those priviledges being that he was reincarnated on Earth as a mortal, but was able to retain his Shinigami powers and abilities, which would allow him to leave his body just like Ichigo does to use his Shinigami powers. With that in mind, I'd say no, Isshin was not in a gigai (faux body) making whoopee to Masaki. Now, if Isshin was not the previous Captain of the 11th Division that Zaraki killed, he was most likely a Captain of one of the other Divisions at some point in the past (he does wear a Captain haori around his arm after all), and for whatever reason (most likely peacefully) left his position and Division for Earth, where I still feel he was for again whatever reason reincarnated as a mortal human retaining Shinigami powers (I do not believe that this whole time he was an ex-Captain Shinigami in a gigai).

um, no. if you remember, Byakuya destroyed all spirit powers ichigo had when he first met him. Urahara helped him get his OWN, because the ones he had were limited because they were Rukia's. Ichigo got his powers from his dad, and his powers skyrocketed like a ballistic missle from becomming part hollow. how else would he get his powers, fight Kenpachi and live, survive fighting byakuya and break his weapon, in the time that he did?

goddessofanime

Dang, I forgot already how it was basically Urahara who got Ichigo's powers up and running.

But think about this; don't forget in the first episodes, Ichigo admitted to Rukia that he's been able to see spirits all his life; he had to have inherited that power from someone in his family and most likely Ishhin.

The manga has only hinted at her getting her own special powers like Chad and Orihime's. She, Keigo, and Mizuiro meet Urahara as Ichigo, Chad, and Ishida depart to Hueco Mundo, the setting of the next major story arc after the Arrancar/Vaizard arc.

So glad the fillers are over; i don't care how they get out of it, but get out of it, they must! Although, I must confess I kinda liked Nova, one of the modified souls :P It's so cute when he zips up his hood when he's embarrassed or trying to hide.
