I checked RPGFan and then some websites on it and on one of the websites it had pics of the PSP version of Final Fantasy 1 and 2, problem is it looks the same as the Wonderswan/PS1/GBA versions, it has all the features of the GBA version plus the gallery mode from the PS1 Origins version.
So basically its the same remake with the same reused graphics etc. Maybe the music will be remixed or it will use the Origins version of the music, but I think thats it.
Why is Square releasing FF I and II for the millionth time? Why not give them a new 3D remake instead on the PSP like FFIII DS did or not remake it at all.
I mean getting Final Fantasy Origins or Final Fantasy Dawn of Souls is still pretty easy to get. I think that Square is just wasting their time and money.

What's worse is that I hear they're selling them seperately. FFI on its own is fine, but I don't know how anyone sane would buy FFII on its own, especially when you can already get them as a pair for PS1 and GBA. Blah.
The only thing that seems to be a big improvement is the resolution and a slight graphical upgrade, as you can see here (http://www.jeux-france.com/Webmasters/Images/55951120070117_191115_1_big.jpg) and here. (http://www.jeux-france.com/Webmasters/Images/55951120070117_191115_4_big.jpg) There's also word of FFI continuing past its original ending and featuring a changable job system, like FFIII and V.
Either way, this is pretty stupid. They should've just made a big compilation of FFI-VI or something. They've already re-released these 35905349085 times. I'm sure everyone that wanted them probably already got them years ago.

Playstation Portable. They weren't lying when they said that.

When I just heard about these remakes last night I now feel even more depressed. I thought I had the Ultimate Version of Final Fantasy I and II as Final Fantasy Dawn of Souls for the GBA, I guess I was wrong. I do have a PSP though.
Problem is that SquareEnix is releasing them in singles and not together in one UMD or 2 UMDs, this may not be a problem for Japan, since Sony of Japan doesn't have the strict 2D game rules as Sony USA has. But if this were to get released in the USA, Square will have no choice but to either bundle both of them or put both of them on one UMD, because of Sony USA's 2D policy that requires games like these to have more then one game in them.

Actually, it's only against fighting games that the rule really applies. Square makes ridiculous amounts of money for Sony. They could let that slide through the cracks. And from what I've been hearing lately, it seems that Sony has lifted that rule. Somewhat.

They also make ridiculous ammounts of money for Nintendo, seeing as recently all of their games have been made on Nintendo handheld consoles.
Sword/Children of Mana
Magical Starsign
Star Ocean
Its a Wonderful World
Kingdom Hearts
Final Fantasy
Dragon Quest
and the sequal to FFXII for DS, FFXII: Revenant Wings
..and did I mention Square produces anime aswell? Has anyone watched Es Otherwise?
They also have a publishment centered in Japan around Gangan Comics for Manga. Square-Enix produced the Manga for Full Metal Alchemist.
