Its a movie not series and its a good watch. Only problem it has is it moves too fast and ends with a cliffhanger.

Read my review here if you want some info: http://www.animelessons.net/mobilesuitgundamf91.htm

Others? Well thats on R1 DVD you should see Gundam the 08th MS team & Gundam 0080.

It ends with a cliffhanger? I'd say that it's much less of a cliffhanger than Destiny's original ending (Final Plus was pretty decent, though), and even calling THAT a cliffhanger would be a stretch, in my book.

Well close to a cliffhanger, I diddn't know how else to put it. It ends at a good time in the story, but its not the end of the full story. Like Berserk for example.

Just about anything, really..

Gundam X is a quality stand-alone full-length alternate universe series that's stylistically something of a cross between Gundam Wing and Mobile Suit Gundam.

Why on earth did they make it a movie?

Gundam F91 is the perfect entry Gundam for any new fan. It includes all the Gundam themes and clichés. It’s pretty good.

But you’re not new to Gundam. You will like it though but in the end will feel a little disappointed. You will probably think of what F91 could have been. Plus the ending really doesn't help at all.

Anyway I really enjoyed but then again I saw it in theaters.

Yeah, I have a pleasant memory of watching F91 for the first time as well, though it probably has more to do with the context than with the movie itself..

In either case, it's a relatively good time-passer (although I recall feeling that it dragged somewhat..), but it probably won't be anything remarkable..

I watched it around the same time as Appleseed, and I really can't say which I enjoyed more.. they were both just one-time-watches for the most part..

I really disliked and was totally disappointed with the movie, the beginning showed me alot of Gundam promise...

But I was swiftly mistaken around 15-20 minutes into the title when everything started, well, sucking.

I don't advise watching, but just for Gundam's sake take a gander.

The movie gets very mixed reviews: http://www.animecritic.com/_metareview/viewtitle.php?aid=347

I loved F91. Though I thought it went downhill the entire time, but the begining was awsome as hell.

How could things being crushed and killed NOT be awsome as hell?

Despite its faults, I love F91 and think it's a good Gundam, so I vote: watch it.

The two things I don't like about it is a certain part in the plot:
Where the woman defects, dies five minutes later, and is never mentioned again. No reason, no nothing, just random, which wouldn't have been a problem had it been a series, and also, that the music in several parts is essentially copypasta'd from The Empire Strikes Back.

Gundam F91 also contains one of the best Gundam lines ever!

"This mask keeps my emotions in check"

I think thats how it goes.

Nothing better than watching a mom get dinged in the head by a huge empty round. I think I rewinded on that part about 10 times before finishing the movie. Ah, God bless that movie. That's one scene that will forever remained etched in my mind.

The movie was pretty good. Too bad the ending leaves you wanting what comes next. Damn them.

The first time I watched it I hated it, the second time I actually enjoyed it. It's one of those movies that you need to watch at least twice to appreciate since the story is so convulated.

Plus, Korazzo Ronah was a great gundam villian. He reminded me a lot of Darth Vador.

I believe the sequel manga's been scanlated (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scanlation) and some newer scanlations are in progress, right?

Dunno about the sequel (Crossbone has been scanned, but I only have translations for up to the first chapter of Volume 2, out of six), but I do know that F90 was completely translated.

Yeah with some anime the story just moves so fast with jumps in the plot that it takes another viewing.

Yes, I recall that happening to me with my first viewing of Char's Counterattack, which was before I had seen MSG or Zeta, not to mention Double Zeta, so I was seriously oblivious to all elements of backstory despite being vaguely familiar with the Amuro & Char characters.

Ha, Char's Counterattack was the same for me as well. I had seen MSG though, but I still liked it more the second time & since much more than the first time.

I should give the movie a second chance, hopefully I can look at it the way you all seem to be able to do.

The first watch around just seemed like the story felt so...phony.

Only a little bit of the first Crossbone Gundam manga has been done. There's also Skull Heart (featuring the return of Judau,) and Crossbone Gundam Gaiden (Harrisson vs. the Newtype Monkeys!)

Wait, you're saying that the scanlations I have for all of Volume 1 + Volume 2 Ch.1 don't exist? H4X

@Tiran: What's Steel Seven about? I'd heard the title before, but not details, unfortunately.

Erm... a New plot by the Jupiter Empire, Tobia and the crew will probably stop it, beyond that I don't really know.
Oh, yeah, it contains another giant (colony-esque) laser.
