My PC is a Compaq SR1550NX with a DVD RW, and a DVD drive, with 1024 MBs of PC3200 Ram, I have a Nvidia Geforce 7600GS Graphics card with 256 megs of video ram. My Processor is a AMD 64 Athlon 3400+, I have Sound Blaster Live, and a 200 Gig Hard Drive.
Will this be enough for Windows Vista Home Premium Edition? Or will it end up running much slower then my already fast running Windows XP SP2 OS on my PC?
Can anyone help? Thanks.

If I were you, I would wait a bit before getting it. Its only been about like 3 months since its been released? (Correct me if i'm wrong.)
I think I have the same PC as you, so it will work fine.

As a guy who has had Vista for the past couple of weeks, I would say wait a bit before getting it.

Do you have a reason to get it? What will it allow you to do that you're not currently able to do? Whatever that is - is it worth the hassle and expense of upgrading?
I haven't had any use for XP, so I haven't even upgraded to that. I'm not aware of anything Vista has that I need either. I haven't upgraded, nor do I intend to do so any time soon.

I would say wait a bit. Is there a reason you need it right now. Me I may not get it at all my computer works just fine the way it is.

The ONLY reason why I might go Vista will be DX10 and nothing more, sure it looks all pretty but I don't think it will offer anything that drasticlly better than xp. I just need DX10 so I can drool of Crysis.
