Not too much happened here, the interesting bit is the last few seconds before the credits roll, where someone who will be important, to the best of my knowlege, turns up.

Other than that, everyone winds down after the fight. Though I was surprised one person showed up again, I assume they're setting up for the next filler arc after the manga stuff is over.

The filler may be over, but don't expect that big of a jump in quality in the next arc. The next arc will be at the point when the manga started to go downhill; the only real high point in the arc is when...

...Ichigo fights Hollow Ichigo.

Also, the arc will probably only last 15-30 episodes until the show goes into filler hell again. Although personally I wouldn't mind the filler lasting for years like in Naruto, seeing as how the manga isn't all that hot right now, anyway.

I'm glad Bounto arc is finally over. I can't wait to watch Arrancar arc!

this is where he have a proplem. the current manga arc is still going. the anime is catching up. so there WILL be fillers, unless the anime will slow down the pace so that the manga can get farther ahead. or they make up episodes that help that plan along

due to the fact of going so fast through the soul society arc.

I've been thinking the same thing. They are going to have to pace things slower and probably insert some flashbacks.
