OK, I have a question, specifically for those who know a bit of Japanese.
Mods, please move to another forum if this is a bad place to ask. ^_^
We know there's a set of 3 RahXephon manga books sold here on AnimeNation. There is also a novelization of the series (5 volumes) that has been translated to English and sold here.
There are two RahXephon artbooks (http://www.animenation.net/forums/showthread.php?t=189920), namely the official illustration collection and the Yamada art works book.
There are two illustrated guide books: There's the RahXephon Bible - Analysis phase, which has been translated; it covers stuff up to and including episode 19, with full episode synopses up to and including episode 15. RahXephon Complete (ISBN 4-8401-1019-0) has not been translated; it covers the entire series, movie and the PS2 video game.
I have everything above except the five novels.
What I'm wondering about are the three other books (AFAIK) that have not been translated.
There's one more by the novelization writer, Hiroshi Ohnogi, (ISBN 4-8401-1001-8), perhaps a novelization of the movie?
Then there's a book (ISBN 4-19-905120-1) by a famous (in SF circles anyway) Japanese science fiction writter called Chouhei Kanbayashi. I would guess that this is some sort of re-telling of the story, but I don't know.
The last one I know about is a book (ISBN 4-19-861675-2) by Ryusuke Hikawa. This guy is actually an anime critic with his own TV show in Japan, so I wonder what he's written about. It is most likely a fiction book, but since he's a critic I wonder if parts of it, or perhaps all of it, is documentary information. Edit Update: I'm told this last one is a collection of essays explaining the story in detail, but without much illustrations. My guess wasn't too far off the mark, then.
