The last I heard, there were rumors of a movie sequal to Gundam SEED Destiny. I think there may have been some sort of official statement on it.

As far as I know, theres a SEED movie being made to finish off the CE saga, and that new manga 'Gundam Unicorn' that is a UC story that begins at UC 0001.

Beyond that I don't think theres anything totally new, theres a new Evolve DVD coming out in Japan soon though.

I really hope they'll start dubbing ZZ Gundam soon, I was given new hope last year when they assigned english vocies to a bunch of the ZZ characters in GvsZG.

Last series I've heard is "Gundam Seed Stargazer" which is a 4 episode, 1 episode release per month mini series. Theres gonna be a Seed movie? better not be another one of those mass flash backs OVAs again ~o~ They love doing that with Seed...

Stargazer was three episodes that already finished their run, I think the DVD's due to come out in Jpan soon; it was a good story idea, just could've been better if it were longer.

From what I've heard, the seed movie is set several years after SEED Destiny and follows a lot of the original charaters and a couple of new ones.

Ohh so Stargazer was 3 episodes :S Lol I just assumed it was another KOF lol.
Its good to hear they're finally making a proper movie, not just those mass flashback specials or ovas lol. This I've gotta watch :spin: As for now, the game will suffice me.

Ahh, I've got quite a few Gundam games on my ps2. Theres 2 older ones (one I dont know what series its based off lol and the other is based off Zeta).

But yeh, lately I've been playing the 2 Seed games on ps2 (no, not battle assult 3 LOL) I think their names are "Gundam Seed: Union VS ZAFT" and "Gundam Seed Destiny: Union VS ZAFT 2 PLUS".

I swore it was said that they were working on a new UC gundam, and there was a sneak peek at the animation, hidden on a Japanese Gundam game that you could view once you beat the game. I don't remember the name of the game, but I do know it was recent (last two years or so) and that it never came state side.

Yep :D Was out in Japan a few weeks ago I think. Its not really that exciting tho, just Union VS ZAFT 1 with some extra few gundams(Destiny gundams and Stargazer gundams). Most of the stages are the same lol, just remade.

There is however, an "Extra" mode you can play, I think that follows the Seed Destiny story along with all the talking etc lol. Heres a site (http://www.seed-vs.com/ps2-2) if you're interested :) You'll have to hover your mouse over the buttons to see what they are XD

Please no. I love UC, but its been done to death. I don't want to see Crossbone or Sentinal animated (I know what happens, I don't see why seeing it animated will improve it), and I don't want yet another OYW side story.

Fans need to stop the "New Gundam has to be UC" idea. Just because a series is UC does not mean it will be good and it does not mean that it will better than SEED or Wing. Remember, G-Savior was UC, as was ZZ Gundam.

During the One Year War the federation secretly develops 5 new Gundams at a secret lunar base. Just prior to testing however Zeon's team of crack (all bishonen) commandos break in and steal 4 of the new prototypes. During the battle young Bob gets stuck at the controls of the RX-78-42 and realises one of the Zeon soldiers is his old friend Jim from Side 6....


There's no reason we can't have an AU series just as good if not better than UC, look at X or G.

UC is Universal Century, as is the original Gundam, Zeta, ZZ, 08th MS, 0080, 0083, CCA etc.

AC is After Colony and is Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz.


AU is Alternate Universe and is anything not UC.

Beez (Bandai Europe) have said that they'll be releasing one Gundam series at a time to avoid confusing consumers with two separate timelines at once.

I recall Gunota had an article that noted an unnamed Sunrise representative had claimed that they were working on an as-yet-unnannounced UC title, but no information other than that it would be an episodic thing (ie, non-movie) was released.

Plus there's the third SEED thing, which has been confirmed to have Kira, Athrun, Lacus, Cagalli, and Shinn in it for sure, plus a bunch of other hopefuls but no one has confirmation for.

On a side note: Sharp, I agree with you on the bit about UC not being end-all be-all, but hey, I still want animated Crossbone, mainly because I'm not able to read it, nor import it, and no scanlation group has picked it up (although Deacon Blues says he's working on it).

Pick up a cheap all regions playher and buy the Region 1 bricks Sharp. You can pick up the entire seriues for around 80 dollars that way.

Getting off my high-horse for a minute I'd just like to point out that I and I would assume a large number of fans who truly appreciate Gundam would like to see anything new, whether it be UC, CE, or a different AU...

There's an interview with the CGO (Chief Gundam Officer). He says that there is a brand new story called Gundam Unicorn being produced as a novel, and that they're investigating which would be the best medium to animate it for. (movie, or tv, or internet, etc.)

Anyway I don't care what they make. It would be nice if it was UC but it would just basically be like the alternate universe shows but realistic. I really doubt they will make a UC show that has anything to do with the older shows.

And quite frankly I really don't want them to. I rather see a new setting, characters, and ideas that have nothing to do with previous Gundam shows.
