Hello everbody!
I'm 沙サン and, as you likely realised, I'm new over here...

I'm brazilian and I'm currently living in London, studying here. Fan of animes and Mangas, as well, I was searching for boiling anime conventions here.

I found out (something that maybe is wrong) that here we don't have the same sort of crowded event as I was used to have in Brazil.

I don't mean it's better there than here... Probably the nature of events that we have there and here are a way different because of cultural issues.

However, I was thinking that would be very very cool to meet some cool people sometime to watch anime together and throw away some useless and funny hours talking about nothing =)

Does anybody would like to organise something like this?

I have lots of anime (unfortunatelly w/ Brazilian SubTitles, but fortunately the original version) I'm just downloading and watching some new and interesting series (.hack, Midori no Hibi, and Ninja Scroll).

I've watched Naruto (up till the last episode), Bleach (up till the last episode) and I'm watching between the Episode 15 and 26 of Blood+ this week.

If anyone would like to spend some good time eating pop corn and watching anime, that would be really nice.

Cheers!

Auchinawa ran about a week ago, so you've just missed that.

Next year we have:

- Minamicon (http://www.minamicon.org.uk/). Its full now though, so you're unlikely to get in. 16th - 18th March.

- Tokonatsu (http://www.tokonatsu.org.uk/), a slightly different type of con. Start of the summer.

- Amecon (http://www.amecon.org/). Big con of the year, I highly recommend it. 10th - 12th August

- Tomodachi (http://www.tomo-dachi.com/), a con in Northern Ireland. ~31st August

- Fuyucon (http://www.fuyucon.org/). New convention. 19th - 21st October.

... cheers mate. speaking of boiling, it got so hot at Otakon '06 that i broke out in a heat rash every friggin time i went out during the day. i had to wear long sleeves (which really didn't help keep me cool), and i was poppin Benadryl like a fiend, thinking that it was probably somethng i ate that caused the reaction.
