I have them. I need to prepare for 4 exams just this week and one for next monday.

The only ones I have to look out for is my Math and Physics exams, for which I have a combined whooping 700 pages of material to know. Otherwise I'm sailing high over the mark for the rest, or so I hope.

Once this hell passes, I'm going to play in a smiten stupor at FFXII for a whole day just to relax.

I was just thinking. The worst thing you can do right now is to buy a wii or a ps3. Not necessarily an xbox360 though. Know why? You get a tendency to stop everything important, and dedicate about a whole week to playing brand new consoles you get. So you'll forget about your finals, and play Zelda. Just like my friend decided to do...

Art that you can interact with. Like making a giant swingset or something, and having clay kids on them. I dunno, it's kinda cool.

I have four exams this week, three of which are at 8 AM and three hours long. Most of which are core classes which are dominated by people with relatively the same intelligence as mine (can't count on many people bringing down the curve).

Took down all my finals last Friday with ease, thanks to my school's general retardation and my comparative intelligence. Seriously, there's people in there who don't know that people have appendices, for example. Anyways. I did have a quick paper to write up for this week, but it was nothing big.

I decided to plug communism. I was really bored. XD

I'm kinda worried about that final writing test in English Comp. I KNOW I did well enough on the actual paper, BUT I kinda-sorta forgot to actually specify the topic. I hope ze Graders aren't just all like, "Well, I have no idea what this essay's gonna be about, FAIL." This is the kinda crap that makes you wanna go on some kind of Killing...or Dancing Spree. Damn you, College Board!!

I started my exams Thursday and finish Tuesday. Exam on Thursday went fairly well; knocked my Programming out of the park on Friday, and took a Project Management exam half asleep Saturday morning. I dont care much, I went into that exam with an A

Now I'm shaping up for my harder exams: Database Systems and General Management.

I only took two classes this semester, so I am taking both of my finals tomorrow. I studied for a couple of hours and still don't feel ready. I never really do....

I only have two finals. I have my Psycology final in about 10 hours and I really shouldn't be browsing and posting in forums right now. -_-; I have my Government final on Wednesday and as long as I get 19 of the questions (out of 55) correct, I'll pass the class with a C and I'll be happy.

That brought back memories. I took Chinese for one semester in high school, I had to cheat in every exam including the final to pass. I mean everyone cheated and most of the class were Chinese kids.

I just took my final today. I'm a little worried that I might not pass my courses. I think I did well this time around, but the two couses I had trouble in were U.S. History and Geography. I didn't really start out too well, but I thinkk that there's a hance for me to at least get a "C" in both of them. If I do, I'm lucky and I'll be able to go on to Rutgers.

Finished my Management final and my Database Systems exam... management was kinda easy and short - the databse one was long (long test is long). Finally, it's over - now I just have to remember to check my grades in a week or so and get ready for the next semester in January.

You see I enjoy finals and mid-terms. But then I am also the person giving them. I'm not that bad when it comes to it because if they can make it this far with me then I know they have what it takes to pass my class. For fun though I may add on an unannounced bonus that will have them giving me the foreign exchange rates for every Asian county from memory into both USD and Euros.

Teacher? Cool. I gotta question. I know you're probably sick of hearing it, but:

How do you feel about standardized testing?

I hate them. I think they take away to much from actually learning and instead focus the students on how to just pass this one overall test. They are something that I would never allow in my classroom, and luckily since I teach at the college level I do not have to worry about them.

The worst I have seen is in the state of Florida where they have the FCAT. They base the amount of money the schools and teachers will get on how the students do grade-wise as a school. Now instead of teaching the student anything they drill their heads full of nothing but how to take the FCAT.

It's disgusting to me and a waste of our education money and time. You don't learn anything with tests like this, it's a joke. I tailor my tests directly to what I teach on the subject and to what the students have learned themselves. Never will I have a 200 question punch card test. If you can't give me a full answer if it's not 1 of 4 on a page then you didn't learn anything, at least in what I teach.

I had my finale exam just a few hours ago (I don't even want to begin with the pains it took to actually DO the exam because of administration goofups that weren't my fault!). And I passed it so I have my freedom.. for about 3 weeks. I REALLY need to drink some booze right now.

Yaay!! I'm gonna be in 6th semester this Janurary!!! And we're gonna have my favorite subject: Genetics!!! ^o^

Sazae, maybe it's not your field but since you teach college level; I'm curious about how is the level in medicine if it's taught in the places you work at. I can have the my quirks about my university's ideas of administering things (like no exenting finals even if you have a 10 average so technically doing the final is a sheer stupidity to make us suffer); but I do learn a lot.

Everyday I'm starting to like House less and less. I swear that if my doctors were as incompetant at doing such simple diagnosis as in that show, I'd sue them. God, how hard is it to do a simple thing like a clinical history??!! And why don't they have the balls to kick people out of the room. When I visit a patient, I don't have to say anything, my sheer presence makes the family members that are visiting to run away for their lives in fear. A lot of patients really do appreciate privacy when being asked touchy questions. I still like House, but geesh, House is the only decent doctor in the show. >_<

I really wish I could give you an answer on this but at the University I teach at the school of Medicine is completely separate from the school of business in which I teach at. The only thing that I can say is that if the quality of teaching is reflected at all by the quality of the faculty of that school then it is of the highest level. The doctors that teach here truly do care for the education of the students because that would be the main reason they would be teaching here. They could easily make twice as much working in a private practice or full-time at a hospital yet they choose to spend their time making sure the students have the best teachers possible. I do not know anything about the academics of the school or how it compares to the rest of the country but I do know that as people the faculty there is top notch.

Texas is the same with TAKS, though I have heard that the state board is getting rid of it since that test was geared towards more of the same rote learning and fact memorization, and parents are getting wise to how bad the test is. Nothing but multiple choice garbage that doesn't reinforce anything My audio engineering tests were fun since I had to demonstrate examples of poor compression, waveforms, how to use a mixing board, and proper studio setup. Fun, especially since I had to make a track on the fly in a 30 minute time limit

Now if you want fun try getting up in front of a group of professors and defending your Master's thesis for 4-5 hours under grueling questioning. It's hard to beat having work that you have spent a year writing and slaving over getting taken down to the bare basics as they try to destroy it in front of you.

I finished all my finals... finally. Today I took my last two, Eng.IV Hon. and Col. Alg.

My english test was a beast. It covered the entire Cantebury Tales, Ars Poetica, Oedipus, and Shakespear's Twelfth Night and Hamlet.

Alg. was easy though.
