I saw it this evening/afternoon. It was pretty awesome, though not the cheeriest film ever. It was pretty brutal and violent, and even though it technically wasn't as graphic as lots of other films, it was cringe inducing since much of it is based in reality, such as the depiction of the use of child soliders by militant groups in Africa.
For those unfamiliar, its based on the issue of conflict diamonds, and takes place in Africa, primarily Sierra Leone, in 1999.
It stars Leo Dicaprio and some other people I've never heard of.

Djimon Hounsou and Jennifer Connelly are pretty well known actors.
I planned on seeing it but my local theater didn't get it.
Leo 4.0 is turning into one of the best leads of our generation.
1.0 = Child star TV Leo, Growing Pains
2.0 = Teen Leo, Basketball Diaries, Romeo & Juliet
3.0 = Titanic, gets its own version.
4.0 = Adult Leo, Catch Me If You Can, 3 movies he's done with Scorsese and everything afterward.

I rarely keep up with actors and the like.
Yeah, someone I know compared Leo to Marlon Brando, in that both did their "pretty boy" roles and then moved on to being real actors.

I read it this evening/afternoon. It was pretty awesome, though not the cheeriest manga ever. It was pretty brutal and violent, and even though it technically wasn't as graphic as lots of other films, it was cringe inducing since much of it is based in reality, such as the depiction of the use of child stand users in a small town in Japan.
For those unfamiliar, it takes place in Japan. Primarily the town of Morioh, in 1999.
It stars Jotaro Kujo and some other people I've never heard of.
