He's a "rock god" apparently, "the new age of rock".

He's a prepubesant 12 year old kid who sounds **** all like a rocker, and knows **** all about rock.

Alot of rock and metal is about death, dispair, heartbrake/break(?), depression and growing up with a **** life.

WTF DOES HE KNOW ABOUT ROCK?!

Are you kidding me? What kinda stuff do you listen too anyway?

A lot of the best rock and metal deals with having fun, romance, fantasy, and mysticism. There is some stuff like what you described, but it usually isn't all that good in my opinion.

The Beatles, Elvis, Dean Martin, and Billy Holiday and Vivaldi will not do anything to redeem a Brian Adams fan.

Give the misfits (1980, with Glen Danzig) a listen. After much listening, re-define rock.

Queens Of The Stone Age

Then you should know that rock is actually about sex, drugs, sex, and, occasionally, drugs.

...and a whole lot of other meaningless things... :P

5 lol smileys

I like 3 songs, infact no. 2.

Beatles are all you need, well not really but a good helping of what you need.

Beatles are cool too. Just not a huge fan or anything.

Of course there's that, who doesn't know that? There's a reason people say "sex, drugs and rock and roll". I didn't mention it because everyone already knows it.

Yeah Prons, Blue Oyster done the awsome "don't fear the reaper".

Yuki, I didn't see any tour, so you're gonna have to explain to me what I was supposed to have seen and to have liked more.

Ugh, don't remind me. I hated that Saturday Night Live sketch.

SNL is so hyped up, I bought all of the "best of" DVD's bar Mike Myers as they didnt have it. I liked maybe 3 sketches from the 4 DVD's, that's not ever 1 per DVD.

just looked him up, yeah hes English and yeah hes from Rock School. Sounds like a pretty lame act but then again I gotta disagree with the OP about rock and misery/depression/stuff like that. A loooot of Rock isn't about negativity, if anything Rap music is the kind that reflects negative sorts of things. And from the bands you named, probably not a fair assortment from which to site. A lot of those bands are nsync-with-big-ol-guitars-and-amps bands.

Yeah, since I haven't heard the majority of rock bands properly (listen to the new songs on the music channels if they're good) I have a, er, what's the word.

Can't think of it. Basically i'm uneducated because of the small amount of rock I listen to, which affects my opinion in a negative way, so I shouldn't really use it as a generalisation on all rock.

That, lol.

check out older, influential bands/musicians that really spread out they're musical voice (some of these below much more than others)...like The Beatles, DEVO, The Clash, Frank Zappa, XTC, Primus, Shonen Knife, The Specials, Ian Dury, Richard Thompson, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Sublime, The Ventures, Cake, Iggy Pop, The Dead Kennedys and early Liz Phair/Sheryl Crow stuff... I mean we all have our biases so it's definitely not a complete or in many peoples eyes accurate list, but those are some of my personal favorite acts.
