when I get logged out if I'm not on the site constantly. Can't you change the automatic logout time to something a little more reasonable? I do a lot of things at the same time, and it's kind of annoying having to log in over and over again, just to reply to a thread. An explanation would be helpful. Thanks

Check your internet settings. Based on what browser. I changed that for me on Firefox where It would sign me out every time I restart FF. Check to see if it is Saving Forms for you. If not it, make it so.

I'm going to agree with Videl. I've not been logged out of this forum for weeks. It allows me to stay in as long as I want to, when the settings on my computer are right. Make sure you are accepting cookies from this domain.

Well, I messed around with a few settings, so let's see how this works out. I remember I used to be logged in for months on end, and it only started happening recently.

Yeah. Since AN is my homepage, it logs me on automaticly, so I think that's most likely his problem. Cookies are tasty, by the way.

I figured that out too now...it's still logging me out, but I stay logged in everywhere else.

It should be your browser's cookie settings. There are options that control how long you keep cookies. For Firefox:

Tools > Options > Privacy > Check "Allow sites to set Cookies" and set "Keep Cookies until they expire"

That's how it's set, and it still logs me out.

I don't know if this might be helpful, but when you log on, all you have to do is click on the box that says "Remember Me?" at the top right next to your username, and your computer will keep a cookie to your account. By doing that, as long as you don't log off, your account will always stay in your computer, but if you log off, then you'll have to log on again.
