Is it true there's a scene in the OVA where you see newspaper clippings of the Challenger disaster and 9/11? If it is, can someone post screencaps?

Note that both are in black suits. FMA becomes MIB.
I know nothing about this OAV, but it wouldn't be the first time that official translations alter things to fit current events.

Well if you think about the movie... it makes since. WHat if Ed and Al lived to be 100? Then they WOULD be alive in 2005. I read an article about this OVA... I know that it exists now... but I'm not sure if I can trust the article's plot or not. According to the article... It's about Al's grandchildren trying to find Ed or something... in 2005. I'm not sure if it's true or not.

I've heard about this OAV - I came across a couple paragraphs about it when I was going through FMA character profiles on Wikipedia. According to that article, the OAV takes place on Edward's 100th birthday, which would mean that it does in fact take place in 2005, since Edward was born in 1905 according to our calender (1899 according to Amestris's calender).
In a three minute OVA designed to take place after the events of the movie, the brief sequence shows the great-great-grandchildren of Edward whom find fascination in his story (which has apparently become a movie in that time) as they bring him a gift from Alphonse for his 100th birthday. The scene depiction only shows us a brief shot of Edward, who still bears the automail Winry designed for him, as well as the physical resemblance of his father, Hohenheim. Since the sequence was never featured on the American DVD, it was most likely decided that the open-ended finale of Conqueror of Shambala's would be a more fitting finale with fans postulating whether or not the Elric brothers would ever return home.
It is worth noting that in the "Conqueror of Shambala" OVA the world Ed is in can be firmly established as not our own after all, this conclusion based largely on the behavior of the Nazis, who are more numerous than they were in pre-Hitler Germany and who attempt a coup. 'Our' Hitler and his small party rose to power through a combination of twisting arms and being underestimated. This Hitler stakes his plans around those of the movie's villain, tries to take over Germany, and, incidentally, is killed. Who said villains weren't good for anything?

Conqueror of Shambala OVA? Huh? I thought there were only 4 OVAs (Chibi Party, the one with Ed, Al and Winry as kids in the normal world, Alchemists vs. Homonculus, and the live-action Al one)

Well, I'll be darned... I was searching for more information on the OAV (because you never know how accurate a Wiki article is) and instead found the OAV itself.
It is about Edward's or Alphonse's great-great grandchildren (they call both of them ojiichan - "grandpa" - so it's not quite clear who is the grandpa and who is the uncle), who happen to be spitting images of Ed, Al, and Winry at age five or so, venturing into a city in search of Edward's house to deliver a gift to him from "Grandpa Al." It is so cute that I almost cried (I'm dead serious).
Now what I want to know is, Why didn't FUNimation include this clip on the American DVD release of the movie? It's not even on the extras disc that comes with the Limited Edition!

The 4 OVA's that Jeikobu mentioned were part of a Premium Collection DVD that came out earlier this year after Conquerer of Shamballa in Japan. I dont really see Funimation doing the 4 mini ova's as its own dvd (which probably would have a total length of 12 minutes). Possibly in a year or two when they decide to come out with the FMA boxsets, this would make a nice bonus disk for funi to try to snag people into buying the boxes. Funi is extremely smart when it comes to milking their products.
A good example is them releasing the standard version of Conquerer of Shamballa 2 months before the LE. All the people who had the LE pre-ordered, or wanted the LE only will have to buy the standard if they want to own the official version without waiting 2 more months. (Hell, it worked on me.)
Maybe if were lucky, a theme park in the US will do the Fullmetal Alchemist ride like they did in Japan (which is where the Homunculus vs. State Alchemists OVA comes from).

I know about those four OAVs - I found the chibi one when I found the "Conqueror of Shamballa" OAV. I think it would be nice if FUNi released the OAVs - both the four the Jeikobu was talking about, as well as the "Conqueror of Shamballa" OAV - even if only as bonuses that come with the boxed set. More Fullmetal Alchemist for the devoted fans.

Nope. I'm a black guy too. I wasn't expecting to see Ed and a black Guy standing together looking like MIB, that's all. I mean in the seris of FMA I think there's only one black person in the entire series. NOw that I've read the soryline, it makes since now. It's in the future, so I can see how it would unfold.

The OAV doesn't necessarily take place in Germany, either. From the looks of it, it seems more like the United States than Europe (also, vehicles were driving on the right side of the road, and I'm pretty sure the Germans drive on the left side of the road). After all, Ed and Al probably ended up traveling all over the world in search of the uranium bomb. Or they fled Germany along with all the other scientists during World War II.

I believe I already implied that. Oh well.
I also noticed from that picture that Ed is still a midget. Either that, or that black guy is really tall.

No, afraid not. So there is another one? My questions then are:
1) Are there any more besides this one and the 4 on the Premium Collection?
2) Is it on Japanese DVD?
3) Where I can I download it? (if the link can't be posted in the open, please PM me)

The reason why i asked are you joking is because you've posted quite a lot in the thread for the COnquerer of Shamballa OVA, yet you didnt know it was released?
As far as i can remember there are 7 OVA's. In chronological order they are the Reflections OVA (Recap of the series with additional scenes and POV from different characters), Conquerer of Shambala (aka FMA the Movie), The 4 Premium Collection OVA's, and the Live Action OVA (extremely hard to find).
Most of those you should be able to find on Youtube. If you know of any Bittorrent sites, you may want to try those too.

Which thread? I posted in the movie thread, but that's for the FMA movie, not OVA.
And do you know if these OVAs that aren't on the Premium Collection are on Japanese DVD?
Also, I though the live-action OVA was one of the 4 OVAs on the Premium Collection.

OVA/OAV = a movie (basically).
Yes, the Premium Collection is a japanese only dvd.
I'm referring to a different live action, this one features real people playing all the characters of FMA.

So you're saying the movie is the OVA? OVA is straight to video animation, though, and the movie was in theaters before hitting DVD...
No no, I mean are the OVAs that aren't on the Premium Collection on any other R2 DVD?
Wow, there's another live-action one? Is that on Japanese DVD too?
