Eh....it's an alright song. Could have been better. Should have been better. I forget what song that was that they sampled for this track. I'll still get the album though because I'm sure(here's hoping) there will be better tracks on it.
Still won't top Illmatic though.

To bad Nas believes his own hype now and thinks he is "ghetto". NM he grew up in an upper middle class house. That was the main reason Jay Z never liked him.

I liked the song, it wasn't too bad, but I don't like the whole backpacker attitude. It'll still be a cool CD. I mean, he made Game look good on the track with him. If he can do that, it'll be a dope CD . Black Republican was a cool song too.

Yup. I was wondering why it took someone so long to point it out. Just wanna discuss stuff that barely get's discussed, and perhaps even get made mod for a music forum (not the anime related one) in the future ;)

Yep. I'd say he is

I still have not checked out this video, nor song, but would you say this album is putting him on an upswing from Street's Disicple?

Now, why was that statement called for. I wish ignorant statements like that was dead.
It was OK, I liked it. Honestly I hope his next album can be as great as 'Stillmatic'. Ether for the win.

Stillmatic was pretty nice. Mmm, I would say Ether was a name-calling of sorts. I believe Jay-Z was a bit more witty on that one.

Ehhh...your right, I would say Jay Z won, but by a slit lead. But I just love Ether's beat.

Oh yeah. It's nice. When is Nas's album supposed to come out?

The beat made the song I think. I like how his flow remains pretty much unchanged overtime. And this is similar to some of his better songs.

I liked the beat too. The video, I thought, could have been made better. With the beat that was used, and the lyrics, the video would have been way better if it was sort of comic book themed. The beat reminded me of openers for old school action hero comics. That would have really blown me away.

Nothing ignorant about it. I've listened to more than my share of hip-hop, and it sucks.

Wow. Do you really want to start this arguement over again? Everyone that's tried before you has failed miserably...

Now there's something I can get behind. I have to be honest though, I haven't given the hidden artists a listen though. So it'd be unfair of me to say it's garbage.

The underground stuff is actually worse. It's too bad the Brazillian baile funk isn't popular outside of the DJ circles, that stuff is just great.

I'm hispanic and I can't stand that nonsense they call music. Damn my people for being stupid at times.

To get back ontopic, backpack kids make better beats and hooks with less, in my personal experience and opinion. Nas needs to drop the attitude and realize million dollar producers aren't as good as they used to be.

Now I have a question. What is your definition of backpacker? It is kind of relevant, so yeah. Please?

The way he was using it, he sounded like he was commenting on the trend of kids using laptops to make beats, unless I missed something, which might be the case.

Considering it is subjective it is impossible to fail at it. It would be nice of SD and everyone to drop it in this thread now and make another.
