So, I was watching Advent Children again a little while ago and even though the story didn't make a lick of sense, Noboby can deny that the fight scene wasn't short of perfect (Nerdgasmic if you will :P ).

Even though I loved the Cloud Vs. Sephiroth fight, I can't help fealling it wasn't anything more than glorified eye candy. I mean it had to be in the movie or else rabid FFVII fan boys (Myself included) would have raged all sorts of hell. It's just didn't fell...genuine.

I have to say the best fight in the movie is Tifa Vs. Loz. Even though it was short, it took fight scene I imagined for any anime/movie and made it 10x better. I loved the part when she does the Final Heaven on Loz, The remixed battle music was a nice touch to.

It's tough to pick best fight scene. It's a tie: Cloud Vs. Yazoo & Loz (Motorcycle chase) and Cloud Vs. Sephiroth. All scenes are very awesome.

The Cloud vs. Sephiroth one. Not because it was good, but because it marked the end of a really bland action flick.

I have to say the Cloud v Sephiroth fight for two reasons 1 it was sort of the point of movie. Perhaps more like the main plot device. 'Ok Cloud there isn't enough of Sephiroth left to fill a thimble now you can get on with your life ... see Aerith agrees' The second reason is the background music, well just look at my name. It had to be in there.

However some of the other fights have as much or more to recommend them. The Tifa Vs. Loz fight was great and the last believable fight in the movie plus gotta love that ring tone.

Anything with Reno and Rude gets maximum points for hilarity. Especially when Reno hits Rude in the face and then steps on his glasses. Prompting his to access hammerspace (coat) to retrieve one of his 98 spare pairs. You just know he’s that well prepared. And who can forget Reno's entrance (exit) to the movie (house.)

Personally, I think the final fantasy OST was the best thing musically to ever come from Square, And with the re-mixed tracks of some of my favorite songs, That just made it win. Plus One Winged ****ing Angel, That's even my cell phones ring tone.

As much as I thought Advent Children was a truly mediocre (bordering on bad) film, it did have a pretty awesome soundtrack. In fact, I'd rather listen to the OST than watch it again.

The piano version of the battle theme is pure badass.

Well, you know what I always though the movie was, A love you letter to the fans and a **** you letter at the same time.

The piano version of the battle theme is pure badass.
*Sigh* I walk down the street listening to this on my MP3 player, thinking I can take the biggest bad *** guy I see...Then I pause it when he approaches....Then play it again when he passes.

The Sephiroth fight (even though it was short-lived).

I like the seph fight because it ends it between them.

and the Tifa vs Loz because it shows all of her limit breaks from 7.

Cloud vs. Sephiroth was the best.

For me it's a tie between the FF7 gang vs. Bahamut or the motorcycle chase, I thought those were the most fun to watch, the most action packed. The Cloud vs. Sephiroth fight was a little too short for my liking...not that it was bad or anything, I just wished it could have lasted a bit longer :)

Tifa VS Loz. It had a better feel to it than any others. When she was stuck to the wall, and it went into slow motion there, that was nice...and how she kicked the crap out of Loz at first....very nice.

The motorcycle chase was by far THE most thrilling fight in the film. But the entire thing was pretty exciting. I loved all of fights except the one with Bahamut.

None of those~

The fight between Zack and Aeris' clothes after the crapfest of a fanservice movie was over.

That was the best fight. For shame, them leaving zack out of the movie for so long. Cloud would be nothing without him. lol

Heaven forbid they leave out some crappy side character so people you actually played as in the game could get a couple minutes screentime.

As for the movie, at least they weren't trying to have a good story. FF Spirits tried and failed miserably. Few anime can even get it right in 90 minutes. Hollywood seems to be better about it, but seldom are the ones that accomplish it 90 minutes as well.

For what it was, an ode to the fans, it was pretty awesome. The level of detail, and all the choreography, angles, timing, and reactions for the fight scenes were all at a near obsessive level. It was all over the top of course, but heck, that's the main reason for doing CG. It doesn't always look genuine in the Chinese martial arts flicks. Or even the more toned down American martial arts flicks. It was something that, at the very least, actually succeeded in being a decent action flick even without its franchise association.

Zack isn't a side character, amigo. lol

He is Cloud. Without Zack, there would be no Cloud. The hero you all love so much wouldn't exist. So, give the man some props. It is his legacy that Cloud continues afterall.

I don't get it, What more did you wanna see of Zack? We know his story, He died and he's piping Aeris in Mako heaven. All ends well.

The story (AC that is) was about Cloud dealing with his guilt. I don't see why Zack would be in the movie more than he did...

Because Zack isn't a fake like Cloud?

Also, he isn't a crossdresser. lol

He's a "background character". He was integral solely as an explanation of Cloud's past. He never had any individual value. His purpose was only to round out Cloud and his current state of being. He served his purpose, then he was removed from the story. If you like him, you like him. But he's not a main character. He never was a main character. He's dead as hell.

Maybe the PSP story will bring the focus to him. But at this this point, it's all under the discretion of Square, and they certainly don't have to.

Not.. really. Cloud would still exist, but he would be more Cloud than Zack. At the moment, he is more Zack than Cloud.. and will remain as such. Honestly, his life was completely fine without Zack in the picture. I don't think he would have done anything differently.. and Sephiroth wouldn't have stopped going places because he was less a partner.

You have to ask!?
Obviously it was when the Great One himself appeared... To no one else do I bow and claim that I have no self worth...
O mighty Platinum haired avenger, I am not worthy to stand in thy presence...
Sephiroth is without a doubt the best fight in the movie...
I literally got on my knees, which I don't do very often cause it hurts so bad, and waved my arms saying "I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy!"

I thought Advent Children was a good movie, but it never explained what would make Midgar the way it was when Red XIII and his cubs saw it 500 years in the future. Added to that, who was the grey wolf that Cloud saw in his dreams?

Tifa Vs. Loz - It wasn't fair to see a strong guy beat a woman.
Cloud Vs. Yazoo & Loz (Somewhat Kadaj) - not quite the motorbike chase :D
Reno and Rude Vs. Yazoo & Loz - It made me LOL.
FFVII Gang Vs. Bahamut - Unrealistic and makes me think of this mock movie where it has I believe I can fly from the Space Jam movie.
Cloud Vs. Yazoo & Loz (Motorcycle chase) - Awesome.
Cloud Vs. Kadaj - not that awesome.
Cloud Vs. Sephiroth - the theme music was good. so were the lines.

Cloud vs Sephiroth. That, or the scene where they all fight Bahamut.
