I'm currently in the market for a newer laptop and trying to decide between a thinkpad and a macbook. I would like to know the major strengths of the Macbook and its drawbacks. I'm already familiar with OSX so my main needs would be low weight, power/processor efficiency, true portability and price.
I'm leaning towards the Thinkpad for its design, durability, and repairability, since I'm quite familiar with Windows and would like to use either one as a test/demo machine for the effectiveness of the 1xEVDO cellular data protocol, but the ability to triple/quad boot OSX/Windows/Linux/BSD is very tempting on a MacBook. I do audio/video production work as well so RAM upgradability is a must.

I'd get the macbook, but I'm very biased. My dad has one and I've enjoyed it quite a bit, though its a little awkward running Windows on it. It doesn't lag or anything just that the keyboard/touch pad setup makes it a little wierd. As far as using anything that uses a lot of resources, I haven't used any resource heavy applications so I honestly wouldn't know. My dad uses it a bit for photoshop (on OSX) but aside from that don't really know much.
