View Full Version : What are you getting people for X-MAS?

Me and my older bro always go half-sies on pressies, why?

Because i'm a bum, lol. Plus that means rather than getting 2 ok pressies, we can get em one kickass pressie :)

Lil bro, we've got him that Star Wars Transformer (the new one where you get Han and Chewie who transform into the M.Falcon) and I think we're also getting him and X360 game, not sure. My older bro can't make up his mind over what to get him, Viva Pinata, or "make your own opoly" (it's a custom Monopoly for those who don't know).

Mam, a cross (Gold and Diamonds I believe).

Dad, a watch.

Step-dad, an ultimate 69 piece tool set.

Nana, some books she really wanted.

I've gotten my older bro the Superman returns DVD (and I wish I hadn't. Well, I wish I had, but from a different place. As amazon have it for the same price as play, but you get a cool limited edition case. So all I can say is "**** BEANZ!") and his joke pressie this year, it the Transformers soundtrack (from the 80's movie).

So share the love people. What are you getting your family this year?

Nothing. I'm a poor college student. You think I have money to spend on presents? let alone food?

DEMON212
December 2nd, 2006, 03:08 PM
So top on your list would be some instant noodles then?

Man colledge sucks. Costs to damn much money, and student loans take forever to pay off.

Don't get me wrong, I would love nothing more than to get a bunch of presents for my family and friends, but since right now, class projects take up all my money, I wont have any left to get any. College does suck.

I'd ask for money or Safeway gift cards. I mean seriously. All I'd had is Ramen.

DEMON212
December 2nd, 2006, 03:16 PM
Never had those, I know they're a very popular noodle in Japan. But as I say, never had em.

I suppose it'd be stupid to ask you what they're like? As you probably hate them now, lol.

Also, I never once thought that you don't want to get people pressies, I understand that sometimes you just don't have any cash, it sucks, but it happens.

I dont want to get too far off topic. But it matters what kind of ramen you get. I have instant ones. The ones that come in a cup. It's called "Shin Cup." And as sick I am of them, the're my favorite. So even though I eat them all the time, they taste great. After the first 50....

Back on topic, I would get my mom probably a new TV or something. Hers sucks bad. Either that, or some DVDs. She likes movies a lot. As for my friends, well anime and manga always work.

Nothing, because you apparently dont consider that everyone's not a christian on this board.

DEMON212
December 2nd, 2006, 03:34 PM
I'm not a Christian :P

I don't believe in any organised religon. But I like X-MAS, because of what it protrays in people. Kindness and good will.

Oh, and just because you yourself are not Christian, doesn't mean that your friends aren't also. Because you could've been buying them a gift as they celebrate it.

For my family? No idea.

For my friends? 19 x 24 charcoal portraits. Hey, I have to do something with my giant newsprint pad eventually. It's just sitting around gathering dust.

Yeah really. It has only become an annoyance since he put that on all his threads. But I don't mind so much, whatever floats his boat.

Anyhow I am getting one of my friends anime dvds, another a DS lite. I'm getting my bro some PSP games or a Wii points card thing. I'm getting one of my cousins a couple of CDs (maybe an ipod if I have enough dough) and another cousin a DS lite. I'm getting my mum something totoro related but haven't decided what yet, and my dad is getting a book.

AN should make a specific section just for DEMON212 labeled "DEMON212's Daily Annoyances" either that or his own forum.

Well before I moved schools we had a Santa's Secret Workshop. Then I missed my 6th grade year and they didn't have it in SFA, my Catholic school. I came back to public school and they don't have it in junior high.
So next year I will get a job.

DEMON212 Daily annoyances dont need their own topic, but I don't know why people get so upset. Better than the "Buy Our Pill!" threads.

I only added that to annoy them.

Because now i'm using there oh so funny joke, I know it's pissing them off. Crossbones latest reply proved that.

So that was my whole point of adding it, to make it annoying.

Which BTW, I notice someone has edited my title. But at least your jokes were funny, about my own forum, and getting me a post so I can post my daily annoyances (thank you Neko :)) and the likes. They were funny, DS' and CG's weren't.

And I was stopping after today anyway, I was only doing it for a couple of days to prove a point.

Point is, I can be even more annoying if you push me to it :)

So, have a nice day folks :)

If you have a problem with someone, you're best option is to resolve it through the mods or private messages.

Making threads in an elaborate scheme to deliberately irritate people and then make posts bragging about the accomplishment won't be getting you on the mods good graces anytime soon.

I already finished my X-mas shopping a week ago; I got a jigsaw puzzle for each member of my family. My father got a Red Sox World Series one, my mother a glow-in-the-dark dragon, my brother a glow-in-the-dark scene of New York (since he just returned from his trip there,) and my brother's girlfriend a sleeping kitten.

Appreciate the advice, but i'm not that guy. You see, I am Crossbone and Death. I'm an ******* just like they are, and I enjoy pissing them off just as much, if not more than, they enjoy pissing me off.

And over the years i've gotten rather good at it.

We try to get ours finished in early Nov, but we still needed some things. And we still need lil bro's extra pressie :(

I hate X-MAS shopping in Dec.

But yeah, one of the 2 of them has already reported me, so what do I care?

Nothing, because you apparently dont consider that everyone's not a christian on this board.

I'm atheist and a good bit of my family is agnostic - we've always celebrated Christmas as a holiday for family and vacation (presents and trees included), not necessarily for religious reasons.

Anyway, back on topic, like VidelCoolGirl, Uni's been especially tough on finances this year, so I'm either going to a Dollar Store, not getting anyone anything, or busting my hump for extra cash to spend on some people at the last minute.

Uh... I'm not christian and I still do the presents thing. You apparently didn't consider that non-religous people or non-christians also celebrate Christmas (or X-mas, when it comes to the presents, it's really the same damn thing.)

For my Year-Old Nephew, I'm buying this Fisher-Price Zebra Bouncy thingy. I'm pretty sure it'll be the ONLY toy that'll hold his interest for more than a few seconds. These people just don't know what babies/children like. Yeah, get the kid a TMX (?) Elmo...your money.

5-Year-Old Nephew: Reason #904930303 why Midoriko loathes all children. He's darn lucky "Nature" is forcing me to love him. Anywho, I'm buying the kid either this Super Fort thingy I saw on HGTV oooooorrrrrr this Bug Magnification thingy. Simple, CHEAP toys, BUT still entertaining. I mean, Words can't describe how much I dislike children, but I Get Kids...AND HATE THEM.

Younger Brother: Playstation 2 (was planning on buying it for myself, but it seemed kinda wasteful). He annoys the crap out of me, too, but I have my reasons (Ulterior Motives...Haha, funny).

My Mom. She said she didn't really want anything... She's getting a watch.

My Dad: Said he wants clothes. I don't get his style, so he's getting cash.

More Immediate Family, but you know, what are you gonna do? :naughty: Yeah, I'm evil. Anywho, wondering how I'm gonna pay that Credit Card bill... Kidding, Midorko is the Queen of Schemes. Nah, but I do have a great plan, and I think it's legal...

I'll be getting my Dad a couple books.

My Mom probably a gift certificate to her favorite store.

I will be getting my sister a gift certificate to help in her purchase of a new laptop. The one she has now is getting really slow I think something is going wrong with it, it's about 5 years old.

Think that just about says it all, don't you? :)

That not everyone who celebrates X-MAS is religious. Like myself and Suiko here :)

I got my brother and his wife a nifty ornamental thing. It was really nifty. Seriously. Parents, got them each a DVD they've wanted for a while. Still have to buy for exactly three people. Not quite sure what I'll get, either...

UGH, X-MAS! Stupid people and their politically-correct euphemisms! This is the reason that Cookie Monster only eats carrots now!

Any, as for gifts:

Brother - 1600 Xbox Live Points
Stepdad - self-heating coffee mug
half sister - a $30 gift card for the Build-A-Bear Workshop
Mom - leather gloves
Dad - CD rack
Grandma - coffee mug that says "I LOVE MY MIMI!" on it in red letters
Grandpa - I still need to get him something

Bezerker, my Dyslexic, Insomniac, Skitsophrenic brother would like you to know that he is also an Agnostic. He often stays awake all night debating the existence of DOG.

He also celebrates X-MAS.

Monkey boy, I also hate political correctness. It made a great actor change his name, poor **** Van Dyke, having to be known as Penis Lorry Lesbian.

On another note, I officially hate all hair dryers, as they **** up wireless routers!

I bought my mom the Garth Brooks Live collection thing at Wal-Mart, which she asked for.

I got my dad a super deluxe dremel tool with 5 gazillion attachments/heads.

I got my fake nieces (they're like nieces, but they're just one of my friend's daughters) some Dora stuff and a Disney Princesses DVD board game.

If I can find one, I'll be getting my brother a Wii. I owe him some cash anyway so buying him a Wii would more than call it even ^__^.

They were funny, DS' and CG's weren't.

We're so funny you're riding our respective candy canes. There's your Christmas humor, everybody! Call Santa and let him know I delivered the goods! CHRISTMAS IS CANCELLED!!!

Anyway, I'm gonna give my mom $600. Don't know what she'll waste that on. But, she said something about a Coach bag. Something I don't condone in this house because a Coach bag is just a waste of money, really.

Don't know what to get my dad. He says 'nothing' and I'm really proned on NOT giving him nothing. Just to teach him a lesson or something.

Since my wife doesn't use this site, I can say what I'm getting her with no worries. She only joined to read the marriage thread I made here after we got married.

I got her the following...

--A voice recorder to record ideas for her book when she is out and about and gets good ones.

--Various bath salts, beads and such.

man..its hard to remember after wrapping them so long ago...

Well most recent I got sort of a joint gift, of two radio controlled cars. I think they will be fun to play with together.

A few stocking stuffers, some candies and a keychain LED light.

The greens are the big hit. I've sold about 10 of them myself. 1 pink, a few of last years 2 gig silvers.
