I was browsing the iTunes top songs and saw that Mad World out of nowhere had become #15.

Is this soley because of the GOW trailers or has it been featured in any movies lately?

The version of "Mad World" used in GOW and Donnie Darko is sung by Gary Jules. The song was written by Richard Mayfield of Tears for Fears and performed by them originally.

This is a cool song. I heard it on the Gears of War trailor. It made me wanna get the game when I first saw the commercial. And then I read about the game and I want to get it more than any other game out right now. V_V

I've hated this song since I first heard it, and I cringed when GOW used it.

As a stand up comedian (possible Jerry Seinfeld) once said "have you ever seen an advertisment for something you like or want, and be totally put off buying it because the ad is so bad? Or even worse, when you have that item and you're now totally ashamed of owning it?".

GOW's ad is like that.
