So, I have these files scattered about the computer that I did not intentionally download. They are usually related to the music my brother and I download. For example, they are pictures of the album cover, and clearly are hidden files. (they show up when I turn off the 'hide files' option) Im thinking its related to Windows Media Player and one of its options, though I might be wrong. What can I change so that I dont get them anymore?

The files are commonly called:

AlbumArtSmall.jpg
AlbumArt_{38050A8B-3B1D-4F28-A598-6DF578072039}_Large.jpg
etc

Thanks for the help.

Ah yes, those are often included with mp3 downloads that create a new folder for the songs, or CDs that you rip. It's a feature of Windows, I'm fairly sure; if the folder the songs are in has any graphics on it that's where they're coming from.

I don't think there's any way to prevent them from being downloaded, but I don't see why you couldn't just delete them.

You can delete them. Commonly, they're used for like when you have an Ipod, and the small image of the Album Cover is on it. The "AlbumArtSmall.jpg" Is usually always the CD cover.
