I don't know what the suits are called, but that's a pretty good Yomi costume. This pic of Chiyo and Osaka made me laugh aloud:

Those are great costumes. A little creepy to look at, but funny.

Pretty interesting Chiyo and Osaka :).

A cosplayer who cosplays with the character's mask is called a doller (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animegao), and what they're doing is a variety of kigurumi cosplaying (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kigurumi).

I never thought of wearing a character's mask when I cosplay. Maybe next convention, I'll try kigurumi cosplay and see how many people I scare by wearing my character's mask. (It also won't freak me out so much when people take my picture and post those pics on the Internet.)

KIGURUMI! I have no idea why I thought it started with a D, but THAT is the word, thanks :D.

Just because you haven't seen a male kigurumi costume doesn't mean that they don't exist, or that they aren't possible to make. I think it'd be fun, don't you? ;) I was thinking of doing kigurumi cosplay to the next convention I go to, and the character I want to be is male.

i saw this one pic of a full body costume of Kanti from FLCL. it was perfect. looked like an anime character standing there, but it was a costume. look in the earlier parts of the old best costume thread. its there. and i have no idea where the hell someone got it. its gotta be from Japan. crazy.

To stay on the thread, HEY! Yukito! I love Kigurumi! There's so much cool stuff out there you don't know. :D

(and, as for Kanti-sama, is this (http://www.sidehack.net/sidehack/al-IMG_3354.jpg) the one you're talking about?
(Sorry in advance for hosting it myself; I saved the picture sometime ago, and can't remember who's it was.))

How would you know? Unless you knew me personally, you really don't know much about what I know o.o.

actually the one i saw was red. it had to be made by a HIGHLY skilled professional.

and if someone had one of those skin masks that people can put on their face to make them look EXACTLY like another person, you could probably do the best cosplay ever. but this would require professional makeup artists. and its more of an attachable fake skin than anything else.

of course you would have to be one very, very rich fan.
