What is it with hentai and guys who look either really ordinary or ugly?
People tell me that it's because the heterosexual male viewer feels insecure when the man onscreen is better-looking than he is. Fair enough. There must be exceptions out there somewhere, though (aside from yaoi).

Bible Black has Minase, and he's hot. But yeah I know exactly what you mean. I loath looking at ugly hentai men, disgusting.

What is it about Minase that is attractive?

I think we can call it the "Ron Jeremy syndrome"

For most viewer of eroge, that not what matters. I'm not trying to be sarcastic, Just stating a fact. Most of the D3 game based titles, Bible Black, Dicipline, & Cleavage tend to be better in that department . . .

He's young, fit, brunette, has a penetrating stare, and he's intelligent. For an anime character. =)

Moonlight Lady has Koichi Hayama.
Personnaly speaking, I don't mind identifying myself to beautiful guys.

Someone in here mentioned Minase as being "hot". I wouldn't say he's a "pretty boy" by any stretch.
Nor is Hayama, who someone else mentioned.
"Hot guys" don't have to be "pretty boys".

You aren't a girl, nor are you gay, so your opinion isn't really helpful or valid in that. Sorry, but that's how I see it. Not to sound mean or anything....
That would be like me saying that every girl that fanboys say is ugly is hot to me, even though I am not attracted to girls. I don't know how guys think or what they like.
Here are some hentai with nice-looking guys: Moonlight Lady, One: True Stories, Wet Summer Days, and Beat Angel Escalayer.
Since hentai is marketed to a male audience, of course most of the guys will be plain or ugly. It's unfortunate but true. At least there is yaoi to look at (but not nearly enough in the anime/hentai category).

Not to sound mean or anything....Begging your pardon, but just because someone (for example: myself) is not attracted to men (or for that matter, does not possess any other particular sexual preference you care to specify. E.g., for overweight people, redheads, spanking, enemas, dark skin, large breasts, large penes, green eyes, or shoes) does not mean that that that person is incapable of judging a person as attractive (or not) according to that sexual preference's criteria (e.g., "window shopping", as a friend of mine put it). Please do not dismiss someone's opinion as irrelevant just because of their gender or sexual preference—which is what you just did.

Sorry, but I still feel that way. I talked with some guys a while back and all the girls I thought were labeled as hot in a particular place were not hot to those guys.
I don't think a straight girl would know what girls are attractive as well as a guy would, nor do I think straight guys would know what guys are attractive as well as girls would.
And if it was anyone else saying that, I probably wouldn't have said anything. I'm bitter with Matt because of all the trolling he used to do at the yaoi forums. He said since I was a fangirl, my opinions don't count, so same goes for him. :P
Sorry if I offended you. I'm not trying to be obnoxious or anything.

Maybe you should try yaoi specific titles like Kizuna ,My Sexual Harassment, Samurai Fantasy or Level C. I believe most hentai is aimed at men and the males in hentai seem to look all the same with 3 main types, schoolboy, middle aged man and the kisaku lookalike.

I'm not really interested in yaoi.
I was asking if there were any decent-looking guys in anime porn aside from those in yaoi. A few examples have been named in this thread.

I wonder what people would think of a hentai where you never even see the guy's (or guys') face(s). Would it be popular or unpopular?
I thought that if looks for guys in hentai don't matter at all, why not just take it to the next step?

I like the idea, cuz I don't like looking at guys' faces.
