Hi there, nice to see everyone again. Ah, it's been so long since I've been here. Much has changed ^_^

Uh, back to my question lol. I seem to have lost quite alot in my post count. In this instance, are post counts lost when a thread with said posts gets deleted?

I guess, another way of asking, is post counts not a seperate, one way unrevertable thing? There was one incident I've been in where there was "ghost posting" ie, posting when the forum servers reset or when the forum receives too many requests at once.

Ah, I guess all I want to know is....why did I lose posts in my post count?

When a thread is deleted, if you had posts there your post count will be reduced.
We tend to clean out threads that havn't had posts for a long time every so often and recount postcounts then, so you'll see your post count go down in jumps.

Ah, so I was semi-right. So, that means.... 1,200 of my posts were deleted

*shrug*

It happens. It's just a number anyway. Several users here have lost multple thousands of posts when threads have been deleted/counts turned on/off in different areas.

My post count always seems to stay in the 120's

My post count dropped 7,000 posts all at once, I believe it was when they choose to make some forum posts not count.

I lost about 2,000 at the same time. I still can't figure out why discussion of specific series don't count. It's that I'm concerned about my post count, but its just seems wierd.

But it was somewhat humorous to see certain people with rather large post counts in the Eva forums suddenly drop to zero. :)
