New Bible Black R1 VS R2

I have on idea if anyone already noticed or posted so I'll do it. I would like to know has anyone noticed how bad the animation quality is in the R1 version of the New Bible Black episode 3 is? The R2 version looks good, but R1 doesn't.

Now if someone knows, can you tell me what's up? I remember the same thing with the first Bible Black. R1 episode 3 was very bad in animation quality. Not just parts, but the whole episode.

Now what is that supposed to mean? I own all the DVDs to Bible Black except the first volume of the second testemant. It didn't have the original japanese track on it. Kitty pulled through and released it on the second volume. I'm trying to stay connected to this as much as possible because I spent money on this product dangit, and it's flawed. I want everyone to get what they paid for.

I promised an update and did not deliver but I am going to Japan in a week for TIFF and may try to get a more clear answer. What I have heard so far is that,

1) You are all correct there is the more detailed version.

2) Here is the kicker, they say the more detailed version was only in the special boxset(??) and they consider it a different release which equals you have to license it again.

3) Now the royal kicker, they do not have an uncensored version of this better version. If I know of one in another country they want to know who has it since they say it was never made.

I have my guys working on it so I can better understand it but this is what I understand. I may be all wrong about this but I will get more answers in a week or so. As for the no-subtitle issue, this has gone away....

As for BB being an evangelion of adult anime, I have to agree the Urotskudoji was really the "father" or adult anime that got it all really known and started here in the USA but BB is no slouch! It is definitely a high point.

We believe in the franchise so much, the game is coming out from us in November. You can check out a demo we put up on the kittymedia site. Also we have another anime we announced for adult and on the mb site for non-adult coming soon.

We have been trying harder to get the site to have more acq info people can check out...

Well anyway should make sure chris gets more updates from us...

This ep he is talking about isnt BB:NT ep 3...hes talking about BB the original series ep 3 in the box set that was released in Japan where the original ep 3 was redone with better animation.

As a matter of fact...John from Kitty left another msg on the AOD board:

When I am in Japan next week I will be making the rounds and speaking with them about BB:NT3...we supplied them with time codes and scenes so I hope we can get this issue resolved.

As for BIBLE BLACK Kanzen-Ban, I will look into it also. Anything with BB is ok by me but it would probably be released at the end of the BB releases.

Right now, I'm taking a wait and see approach. They may make it up to everyone by rereleasing the new BB with the correct footage in place...or they release the old BB in a box set similar to the JP release....if only they can find the uncut footage....

Holly crap! When did Milky become Lucasfilm and say that the uncensored masters for the better looking version don't exist? Did they deliberately animate the mosiacs on the original instead of actually animating the parts and THEN placing the mosiacs? Why would they do that?

If the animation on the better version is censored, re-animate it un-censored. They did it for episode three on the first series, and I seriously doubt that it was animated with mosiacs in the actual animation. Who would do that to their own product?

Well....you can always buy the region 2 DVD's. :) Yeah, that does suck that something like this would happen. Hopefully this won't be a reoccuring problem for future releases of the Bible Black series.

Apart from that, there were other licensing-problems in regard to Hentai produced by Milky (Mahou Shojo Ai aka Sexy Magical Girl, released in U.S. by Japananime, comes to mind. I mean, come on, we're waiting for half a year to get the fitfth installment to the series while the fans in Japan already get a cool boxset containing all 5 episodes this christmas... but this isn't relevant to this topic apart from the fact that it 'might' get enhancements, too).

It pretty much sucks how U.S. (and rest of the non-asian world) get's screwed over by Kitty in the last few months. On the other hand, maybe this was the price for getting stuff almost on time with the japanese releases..?
Let's hope that Bible Black is popular enough for a re-release in U.S., too.

For the mosaics on Ep.3 - perhaps they really did not have the possibility on mind that rest of the world would ever go through the trouble of licensing ep.3 again, so they simply didn't keep the full data on their working computers? On the other hand, this would be ridicolous, if I were japanese and would work with a jp. animation company, I'd always save a uncensored version of the anime somewhere just so that I could watch it uncensored and laugh over all the others who go with the censored version :D (joke, I know how harsh companies are regarding to the safety of their products)

And I do not belive that they do not have the original. I mean, just think about it. Did they throw away all the drwings? And everyone knows that drawings are NOT censored. But if they really dont have the video.

They should just create another film and that convert it to video from the drawings, and NOT put mosaic on it. Problem solved.

Dude you are years late. yes to both of your questions and yes it's sad the uncensored hentai that exists in Japan does so because 1. It was made for foreign export, 2. It was illegally produced by certain machines capable of removing certain types of mosaic that cost out the *** 3. they just download from an server outside of Japan.

That is why Milky is screwing us. The Japanese are purchasing our versions of their titles through us because we don't censor them. Think about it. Are you going to purchase a heavily censored version, or are you going to get an uncensored version? The waiting period doesn't matter.

That's why Milky decided not to include the Japanese language track on the first dvd of the second show. They don't want their home land customers purchasing their titles by means of import. They lose money that way. But that didn't work cause those clever Japanese knew how to replace the english dub with the Japanese track already on the censored DVD. So that plan fails.

I personally think that this drop in quality issue is a desperate attempt to get the Japanese sales back up. Which will they choose? The best quality that's still censored, or the one that has terrible quality that's uncensored? It's a much harsher choice to consider. As for us, they can make up whatever excuse they want for giving us the bad quality masters on that episode and not have to do a darn thing. It's deliberate product quality sabotouge and I'm not putting up with it.
