Just be calm. If you know you can do it, just do it.

And then come drive me around.

I'm fairly sure that the majority of people fail once before they get their license. I know I did.

Good luck though.

Ahhh yes..the young ones spreading their wings and trying to fly down the highway called life.

Good luck on your test tommorow Samourai. And if you see me on the road, just get the hell out of my way..cuz I do 90 in a 25.

Pffft...Speak for yourself. I got a 100 the first time. (originally a 97, but I agured with the lady, that she was wrong, and gave me the point :P)

As far as being nervous, don't be. It's really easy. Just remember to do the speed limit, and USE YOUR SIGNALS ON THE 3 POINT TURN. Other than that, you should do fine if you are ready to drive. No one gets failed for no reason. The test is there to determine whether or not you are ready to drive. Your cousin was obviously not ready.
I'm gonna say something you have, i'm sure already heard, but needs to be said.
Just remember, driving is a PRIVILIGE not a right. I wish they would make the driver's test harder, and make a mandatory retest every 5 years.

The driving test is easier than adding 1 and 1.

I failed twice. First, because I completely ignored a stop sign after an otherwise stellar performance. Then, I did pretty good and YIELDED for the stop sign (I still call baloney). Finally, I passed by coming to a complete stop on the sign, even though I barely managed to parallel-park.

i thing i really had to get used to is stopping completley at a stop sign. Now i stop completley, look everywher then go.

I took my driving test in a blizzard, with about 4 inches of snow on the road (rapidly accumulating). My instructor encouraged me NOT to come to a complete stop at the stop sign, because it was at the top of a hill and he didn't think I'd get going again. I stopped, got going, and even parallel parked with no problems.

Maine's a great place to take a driving test in the winter. ^_^

It's easy. Just relax. The more you relax, the easier it will be.

Shoot, I aced that mofo on the first try.

There's nothing to be nervous about. Just go out there and drive. For parallel parking, it's all about judgement. You can be at it for two hours, but as long as you don't hit nothing, you're good.

Just for the sake of conversation, what are you gonna drive for the test?

Make, Model, Year? Auto or manual?

The only reason I passed my driving test was because someone ran a stop sign and almost caused an accident, which I avoided.

He couldn't fail me after that when I remained perfectly calm while he screamed like a six year old girl. XD

^ Sweet! Yeah, with mine it was "he can drive in snow". In Maine, observing traffic laws is irrelevant, if you can't drive in snow. So I got sort of an auto-pass as well.

During the test I passed, a bird was chasing a squirrel across the road in front of me. Maybe it was a good omen. XD

Massachusetts is absolutely one of the worst places to get a drivers license since it's taken with State Police officers, most of whom will fail you if shift even a millimeter to get a bit more comfortable.

Good Luck with your test, also I hope you aren't one of those retarded Teenagers that plagues the roads.

I passed my driving test last month which I'm proud to say I did it only once and never even failed any of my driving tests previously. Best thing to do is be calm don't say anything cause the test intructor will not say anything back.

my advice, if it is on a closed course... who gives a **** how you drive. I think mathematically (in most states) if you just stop at each stop sign, wait 5 seconds, and proceed with caution, you WILL pass. You can take 4 turns in the 3 point turn it you'd like. Just don't drive in the wrong lane and follow directions.

Don't drive like you'd normally would, keep that mind set. Don't make any of the mistakes that would instantly fail you(which I've done), other than that all the little errors shouldn't really phase your overall score. I've actually had more trouble with the written than the driving portion -_-;

If you can pass the Cali one you can pass em all. Just recentley got my motorcycle one added to mine, now thats a ***** to pass.

Can't help you there my friend. Mexico has some of the leanest driving requirement laws to get drivers liscenses in the world.

Any blind and deaf guy could just walk up the bench, pay the 40 dollars and get their driver's liscense in just 15 minutes. They don't give you a driver's test of any sort.

I got mine that way. My driving is terrible.

I've even heard great urban legends of people that got valid liscenses of all 31 (and the DF) states at the same time. 32 times the fun! ^^' They were never caught. Shame, shame...

Quite a polar opposite from Spain. Believe me, you'd fail the test. The best is that my liscense is permanent, it can't expire. ^^

You're driving an auto on flat streets in America? What are you scared about??!!! There isn't that many more terrifying things than a standard car turning off on you going upwards on a hill at almost 90° in front of a speedbump and the car is about to slide backwards real fast from gravity. THAT'S scary. Plus with how everyone else drives in my city, I'm surprised I didn't kill myself that day.

Ah! As long as you put on your seat belt, put the mirror right, use the intermitent lights and stop on the stop signs, I seriously doubt you'll flunk the test. The written exam; I don't know, I didn't have to answer one to get my liscense. Gotta love Mexico.

Now Spain, that's a country where almost everyone fails the test. Even if you were one of the lucky ones to get a drivers liscense in that countyr, you can easily lose it if you don't attend a person whose car broke down on the freeway. (Believe it, it's a serious crime over there to not aid a fellow citizen. You can have your liscense taken away for life!!!)

hey dont worry about it... you'll pass if you just listen... then after you get you license speed, speed , speed speed....hey 25 MPH means 110, and signs that have sharp turns and speed limit 25 it only means to go as fast as ou can while feeling comfortable....... drinving fast is fun...except getting pulled over, wrecking your car, blowing you tranny, etc....eh no wonder im on my third car...... :lol: :huh: -_-;

its been a horrible day.

We went to the DMV, wait for about an hour, get called up, we give them everything, then they as for proof that i did my 8 hour drug and alcohol class, i did it, but i never got a "certificate" or anything as proof, the instructor was supposed to give it to the DMV, well long story short because of that stupid instructor i wasnt able to do it today, and me paid $ for no reason, were going down to her driving school and demanding she reinburse us.

oh and we found out my grandmother has cancer, HORRIBLE day.
