Has anyone heard it? This one brought back fond memories of a Luda I thought was long gone. He had more deep songs on this album than he has had in a while. Made me remember those songs like "It's Cold Out Here". Really deep tracks. I'd say it was worth the listen.

What..Luda has a new CD out?? Thought he was doing movies now and stopped recording for a while.

i would make one of my usual comments about how stupid i think rap music is...but i wont this time....too easy.
Also kiyomi.....singers and rappers say they are leaving the music industry all the time. They say that and come back to make even more money.

Nope, he got a new one out. It's REALLY good. I love this ish. He sampled Biggie on one of the songs, and it came out UBER SICCNESS. If it were any siccer, it would out-do AIDS. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but even Jeezy did a good enuff job on the song. The one song that sticked out too was Runaway Love. Really worth the listen, I can't stress it enough.

To each his/her own opinion Matt. I happen to like some rap music and rap artists. (All due to my vanilla wafer son wanting to be all 'gansta' when he was a teen.)

Good to know that Luda is back and has a good album out. I'll have to check it out. He cracked me up when he did that "B-move out the way" song back in the day.

I think Luda and Diddy are the ones who did the tribute thing to Biggie earlier this year on Nelly's CD..didn't they?? I have Nelly's "Suit" & "Sweat" CD. Love the songs on there as well. He's one of my faves.

Come on. Don't hold back. Be a man. Give us a full thesis on why rap is stupid and show some links to back up your claims. Also, give us a full detailed analysis on where hiphop/rap got weak and which was the peak of hiphop/rap. No, really. Do it. You have nothing to lose.

Also, Ludacris made more money in acting(1 movie, right?) than he did in the rap game. Thats just how it is for all artists in the music industry. If you ain't producing and working within the industry itself then chances are you ain't earning much scratch.

His flow/delivery/cadence/lyrics are pretty much the same in every verse he does, so saying his feat on Luda's album is aight but everything else sucks doesn't compute.

And I'll rather listen to Go Crazy or his new track I Love It over Luda's single....

Actually, I liked his feature on Grew up a Screw up better than in his own songs. The feature verse was a lot better than the whole song (forgot which, but his first radio single). Maybe the beat was better I guess.

And @Sumwatkrazy: GAME AND SNOOP!? Wow...didn't think it was possible. And plz mention some of the underground too, I want to know.

Make your own Game Verse

Step 2: Name drop at least 5 hiphop figures
Step 3: Release verse!

Game and Snoop aint doin an album 2getha, they both droppin their new solos in the same month an Game is on Snoops, they were freestyling on the radio 2getha the other week too.

Game pathetic??
I admit that he dic rides an dose name drop plus rap about shoes too much..., but have you heard "120", "240" AND "300" bars?? tell me he cant write man..
You heard any of his mix tapes like the last BWS one?

I mainly jus follow westcoast stuff, look out for techniuqe an his dynamic certifeid crew, their mix tape is out, E-white, his mix tape is out, Crooked i comin soon with his crew, watch out for Glasses malone, Aftermaths latest westcoast sighnie, Bishop lamont.
DPG got another album comin.
Bone thugs jus dropped a underground album.
Daz dropped his so so def album(ok not underground lable but Daz underground these days).
Coolios 'return of the gangsta" seems underground despite a single with Snoop, that album only out in europe an Japan.

Snoop got some underground features on his album like Brotha lynch hung an Goldie loc.
But yeah, on his album, dre feature and production, daz, kurupt, too short, e-40, the Game, Ice cube, Mc eiht, Kam, Soopafly, Bad Lucc, Damani, etc etc all meant to be on there, production by dre, meech wells, battle cat, neptuens, etc.
He's put two new groups together, "The war zone"(Mc Eiht, Goldie Loc and Kam), plus "The western union"(Soopafly, Damani & Bad Lucc).
Chino xl got a new mix tape out.
RBX got one comin.
Bad azz and Roscoe doin a joint album.
Comptons most wanted are back.
Dresta an B.G knoc out are back.
Rasskass has a new mix tape out.
40 glocc an Spider Loc doin stuff on g-unit now.
Snoop meant to be executive produces the LA ZU also.

i could go on an on, um LUDA, yeah ^^;, the Luda feature on DJ Quiks last album was dope as hell!!

Fobb

That new CD sounds like it's gonna be pretty sicc. With Eiht n Lynch? Sounds like it'll be a good listen. I've heard of Glasses Malone, but didn't think it'd be worth much of a listen. And I also heard the new BTNH CD was a let down. And COOLIO RETURNS?! Wow...great year for the west I'd say.

PS: Game does name drop a lot, but aside from that, he has potential to become a great.

Westlo
October 10th, 2006, 01:21 PM
It's not just the namedropping, he talks so much **** and it turns out to be lies.

50 - Game's not on Aftermath anymore
Game - Nah I am don't listen to that punk *** *****, he's a liar.

Game's on Geffen/Interscope.

50 - Dre won't be on his album
Game - WTF of course he is, i'm the doctor's advocate how can I not have dre?

Game says last week no Dre beats on this album becuase he doesn't need him

He's an average rapper with an average flow, I've got the very first mixtapes of him put out by Aftermath and the stuff he did with JT. His voice and flow are completely different.

If he's the best the west got... yeah good luck.... as for Snoop... he better bring it hard on his album after all his pathetic pop guest verses... pose is the worst song on timberlakes new album easily thanks to snoop and will i am's production...

You heard his single "vato"? that aint no soft song.

Anyways, if u intrested in up an coming westcost rappers go here;

I always check dubcnn's production vault, good site. New Nas album looks interesting with production from... Dre, Kanye West, Just Blaze, Scott Storch.

Depending on the beats Nas chooses (people seem to forget that rappers choose the beats, for example Jay-Z passed on the Timbaland beat that ended up becomming the Ludacris track The Potion for Dirt on Your Shoulder etc) it could either become the best Nas album since Stillmatic or the worse since Nastradamus.

It's pretty obvious I don't like Game but I'm not going to front he released a banging second album. Still name drops way too much (Someone said he said Dre's name 36 times in the first 6 tracks) and a few tracks he "relaspes" into his 2003 Dre sounding voice.

*Standouts
01. Lookin' At You (Produced By Urban EP Pope)
02. Da Shyt (Produced By DJ Khalil)
03. It's Okay (One Blood) (Produced By Reefa)
04. Compton (Feat. Will.I.Am) (Produced By Will.I.Am)*
05. Remedy (Produced By Just Blaze)*
06. Let's Ride (Produced By Scott Storch)
07. Too Much (Feat. Nate Dogg) (Produced By Scott Storch)
08. Wouldn't Get Far (Feat. Kanye West) (Produced By Kanye West)
09. Scream On 'Em (Feat. Swizz Beatz)
10. One Night (Produced By Nottz)
11. Doctor's Advocate (Feat. Busta Rhymes) (Produced By Jonathan "J.R." Rotem)*
12. Ol' English (Produced By Hi Tek)
13. California Vacation (Feat. Snoop & Xzibit) (Produced By Jonathan "J.R." Rotem)
14. Bang (Feat. Kurupt & Daz) (Produced By Jelly Roll)
15. Around The World (Feat. Jamie Foxx) (Produced By Mr. Porter)
16. Why You Hate The Game (Feat. Nas) (Produced By Just Blaze)*

The biggest suprise was Will I Am beat being really sick (he flipped some old west coast track). Apparantly he producd the title track for the new Nas album as well, he needs to keep working outside of the BEP....

Then by all means why don't you go ahead and start rapping since it's so easy or do you lack high school education? Also the talent you speak of belongs to the studio engineers who clean up/improve the songs more than the actual pop singers.

I find it funny that you would give more credit to someone who doesn't write their own lyrics, than to a person who writes their own lyrics, and actually makes it sound good. All you would need to qualify as a pop star is a pretty face, and they'll throw in singing lessons for you. I've seen so many people say it's the easiest thing in the world to be a rapper, and that rhyming words is kindergarten skills, yet I haven't seen one of them actually take up this brilliant easy money scheme. I mean, seriously, it's so easy right? You make billions of dollars, and you get all the fame in the world. Why not become a rapper? So it's my personal philosophy to laugh at anyone who says that rapping is easy.

Rass is making a fool of himself. Game hasn't said one thing to him yet either, and Rass is all over the place making himself feel hardcore. From what I heard, Rass was talking **** about Game's son, and that's why Game walked up on him. If that's the case, I have no respect for Rass, and I wouldn't, even if that wasn't the case.

"People who think anime is all violence and porn are so ignorant, they should open their eyes and see past their ignorance to see that anime is so much more"

And then about hiphop....

"Hiphop is all about money, guns and hoes"

It's really hilarious and pathetic at the same time.

And yeah Ras Kass has been wack as **** lately but it doesn't change the fact he put out Soul on Ice in the late 90's which is lyrically one of the greatest albums ever.

Snoops album got an Xl in XXL... but so did Jim Jones.. so yeah....

After a quiet year Just Blaze is starting to drop some heat with tracks on Games and Jay-Z's albums. Should be dropping some heat on the Nas and Fabolous (don't hate Breathe was ill, can't believe Jay passed on this track!) albums too and has done most of Saigon's debut album. Heck that P Diddy track he did with Christina is going to be massive.

He was in jail for a hit in run a few years ago, i don't know the exact details maybe sumwhatkrazy does.

Also these game stans are getting pathetic... claiming the following tracks were produced by Dre haha

Game - Looking At You
Game - Da Shyt
Game - Too Much
Game - One Night
Game - Calfornia Vaction
Game - Bang

These beats are far from wack but they aren't the nowhere near the best on the album (Remedy/Compton) and if Dre did them they would be very mediocre for his standards.

Dre's tracks on Busta's albums are better, heck the Out of COntrol Remix for 50 Cent and Mobb Deep are better. Dre imitator's/pupils can get close but Dre's tracks just have that extra knock to them.

I jus heard the track that snoop did with with Brotha lynch, hope it makes the final cut.
I didnt know that Ras was involved in a hit and run, i thought he was in jail for drink driving??
And yeah, his career has sufferd badly from his prision sentance, but also his record lable problems.
he had his album "van gough/golden chyld" never see the light of day, an yeah, the golden state project probably never happen now, not to mention the four horsemen project.
But, he did win like 2 million $ from capital records, so even if his three mix tapes he got out now ("institutionalized, revenge of the spit & eat or die") dont make alotta $$, he still well off and a respected rapper.
Not sure how this game beef will effect his status. The first diss he did, i was in disbelife how unimpressive it was, i havent even got around to listening to "gayme time".
But it seems that Ras is pretty affiliated with g-unit, he been doin lots a songs with 40 glocc and spider loc, plus i know that he has contact with Dr.dre.

SIC as in, cool, or another type of sic I don't know about?

Yeah, I saw the list a while back, and my jaw dropped. I seriously think if Game gave up name dropping, two things would happen:

We wouldn't recognize him on his own tracks, and he would get a little more respect. He does a great job when he isn't name dropping IMO.

If he dropped the name dropping aspect and stopped being a complete ***** he would lose a lot of haters. He needs to make up his mind if he wants to diss jay-z or not because sucking him off in one song and dissing him in another makes you look bad not him. He constantly pops **** and ends up apoligising as well it's stupid.

Anyone with clout (jay-z) or is actually street (beanie sigel) he has backed down and apoligized to after dissing them. He must be real desperate to get at 50 Cent if he has to team up with Ja Rule :p

What does everyone think of Nas's Hip Hop Is Dead, dirty version just came out.

Still can't wait to hear the 2 million dollar beat when the album drops next month.

Beach Chair off Jay-Z's new album is close to being one of his best songs period. I liked what he did with the album overall but I think his flow is nowhere near what it use to be like say Blueprint.

Snoops new album is a suprise, either he got some ghostwriters or people are actually telling him when something's wack. (D.O.C use to tell them to redo their **** if it was wack ack in the death row days, which is why kurupt/snoop fell off so much, no more quality control you see heh)

Young Jeezy dropped a dope mixtape, Sing Along = crack.

As for Hip Hop Is Dead, I like it and I know what he's doing with it (why it reuses the Thief's Theme sample, screw and chopiing etc) but it's lacking something to be great imo.

News on the Nas album.

Nas was joined by Jay-Z when he unveiled much of his newest album Hip-Hop is Dead during a New York listening session last night (November 9).

Greeting a standing room only crowd, many of them journalists, Nas introduced the album saying, "Hip-Hop is dead and everyone in this room is responsible for killing it," before revealing music from the highly anticipated December album Hip-Hop is Dead. The session, which was held at Sony Studios was attended by Hov as well as Swizz Beatz, Rodney Jerkins and soul singer Bilal.

Nas left the session early in order to make a promotional commitment at a local radio station, but not before introducing the first few songs on the album, including the Dr. Dre-produced "QB TRU G" featuring The Game. Other notable appearances on the album included Kanye West, Snoop Dogg and The Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am.

At one point during the listening Hot 97 New York DJ Mister Cee admonished talkative attendees to quiet down and listen, noting, "This **** is crazy!"

The listening closed with the standout track "Can't Forget About You" featuring Island Def Jam newcomer Chrisette Michele, who also blessed "Lost Ones" from Jay's forthcoming album Kingdom Come. Def Jam representatives who were present reminded the crowd that the version of Hip-Hop is Dead played at the listening is not the final album.

Hip-Hop is Dead is due December 19. The tracklisting from the listening session is listed below.

Looking forward to hearing the Just Blaze tracks on Hiphop is Dead, hopefully he's on Fabo's new album as well, Breathe was dope!

I need to check out Nas' album. I've been hearing way too much about it to actually pass it up. I heard one track off the CD a while back (dunno if I'm remembering right) where he had Biggie as a feature.

BTW: This new layout is crazy.

Kingdom shouldn't even be listed thats how bad it was. Jay Z's heart is no longer in rap, but business it would seem between how he's transformed Rocawear into a rising powerhouse in the fashion world after splitting with Dash and his new Nets stadium in Brooklyn.

Good...I thought I was trippin. And I heard he was giving out free CD's to some select few at the Net's game?

I was planning on checking out Game's album, but then I heard he tried to 'beef' with Vida Guerra and Melissa Ford, and I thought "WOW", and didn't even give him a listen.

Any new CD's out I should check? How was Snoops?

I find it funny people can judge anything before they play/listen/watch.

Kingdom Come although not Jay-Z's best album is certainly one of the better albums this year in hip-hop (Minus "show me what you got" Uggh) IMHO(yes even better than your favorite "nursery ryhme" rapper).

And not listening to someone's album cause he talks about Vida Guerra and Melissa Ford? I'm sorry are you going out with them? Are they related to you?

The track is "Wouldn't get far" (prod. Kanye West) is one of the better tracks and he ain't even dissin; just tellin how it is. . .

As far as new albums I like The Re-Up. I would recommend it And no I don't care if you heard it was garbage.

Are you getting butt hurt? I'm not listening to GAME'S new CD because he's nothing but a gimmick rapper, and unless he can up his game without name dropping, he's a nothing to me. Same goes for Kass, unless he get's off Game's vagina, I won't give him a listen either, even if he's one of the best rappers alive. And I can take people's opinions can't I? And if 9 out of 10 tell me it was garbage, I'm putting my money on it that it was.

EDIT: Speaking of which, have you even heard Release Therapy?

Disregarding Fort Major's itchy vagina, I'm not too fond about will.I.am being on Nas' next album. I never found will.I.am to be nothing great. The same goes to the Black Eyed Peas.

But yeah, I'll probably pick up Nas' album.

9 out of 10 people think you don't know anything about hip-hop. I guess its true then.

9 out of 10 people would respect your opinion if it was based on actually listening to the album.

9 out of 10 people think Deathscythe should actually see, touch, and "experience" a vagina before being allowed to talk about them.

I guess you consider yourself the equivalent of 9 people right? Whatever floats your boat.

And point out to me where I was saying it was a garbage CD. If I'm not mistaken, I haven't said it, I've said that's what I've HEARD.

But if you want to turn this into a *****fest, be my guest, wait, don't. Do it in another thread.

Snoops new cd was probably one of his better outtings. The song Imagine ft Dre and D'Angelo brings back memories of Chronic and Doggystyle in the way the two of them sound so natural together on the same track.

These are rumored. I'm not sure if it's official, because I didn't get it off any official site. If they have both versions that'd be really dope.
