View Full Version : FMA's many moments..Loved & Hated. *Possible SPOILERS*

Now that the movie has been released and the series is over too I'm sure we all have many loved and hated moments from the series all together. Here are a few of mine:

Loved:Edward and Alphonse ending up back together at the end of The Conqueror of Shamballa. It was a great closing to the anime.
Hated:The people killing off Huhges...dang! He was an awesome character. Yet if he hadn't died the FMA story wouldn't really start to go somewhere I think. R.I.P. Maes Hughes.
Episode 37: "Flame Alchemist, Bachelor Lieutenant, and the Mystery of Warehouse 13." Loved the comedy moments. They really made me laugh.

I tried not to put many so I just put those three for now. Ok! ^_^

I like when it ended. That was the greatest moment in the anime period. :P

^LOL crow-kun!! I figured you would say that. You don't have at least one moment to say about OTHER than it's over? :P

^LOL crow-kun!! I figured you would say that. You don't have at least one moment to say about OTHER than it's over? :PWell to be fair I enjoyed the moments....the......when....um...the moments I got to listen to Riza Hawkeye in Japanese I love her voice, does that count as a moment or moments? The moments I hated were when I didn't hear Riza then I had to suffer through a sub par plot. Beside that the only other moment I like didn't really happen in the anime but it is related to the anime none the less and that is the soundtrack. You haven't lived until you have heard Roy Mustang sing. :)

When Lust kinda teams up with Ed to help get rid of Sloth

^Definately! Of course if he told me to wear a miniskirt he'd be getting a big smack across the face!

Mustang: "When I become Fuhrer there will be changes...all female officers will be required to wear....TINY MINISKIRTS!"
Havoc: "You're a miracle Mustang I'll follow you for the rest of my life!"
Mustang: "Yes!!"

You may include fave battle scenes too!! One of mine is:
When Roy goes and fights Fuhrer King Bradly AKA Pride. He whoops his sorry bootay good! Although if it wasn't for Selim showing up with Pride's weakness...his own skull Roy may have died and I would have me PO'd! This battle did not last long but it was very intense!

They plan to air the FMA movie on adult swim now too?!? Hmm..I didn't think they would do that.

Anyways another fave moment. Episode 13 when Ed and Roy have a mini fight!! Really cool.

SPOILERS
My favorite moments are:

#1 Maes Hughes physically and mentally holding his own against two humongulus @ the same time. Most alchemist don't even get a "fatal" hit on an humogulus. He got two of them in.

#2 Anything with Dante (old or Lyra) on screen and talking.

#3 Ed vs Greed

#4 The discovery of the underground city. Its all fiction but seeing that made me respect Hohenheim alot more as an alchemist.

#5 When Wraith says something like, "That fool already gave me his arm and then he came back... so I stole his leg from him too," while talking about his time in the gate. Really, the whole Wraith backstory arc is cool to me.

#6 Anything with the Crimson Blood Alchemist. One of my favorite scenes is where he's about to use a soldier as a bomb and he says something like, "are you ready to perform your patriotic duties soldier?"

#7 Anytime the flame alchemist kept it G. Like when Lt Hawkeye said, "but sir, I don't think you understand how much your men admire you," and he looks at her puzzled like, "but what good is the admiration of men?" Or when he's constantly stealing someone's girlfriend with ultimate ease.

tied with #7 is the scene where Greed is at his bar with two chicks wrapped around him. He lifts up his empty hand as if he had a cup in it and one of the chicks quickly gets a glass of alcohol and puts it in his grasp.

Yeah he's always stealing Havoc's girls. The flower shop girl and the nurse at the hospital. He should be making passes at Riza instead.

Speaking of Roy and Riza. I like what he said to her on the last episode then kinda played with her hair. That right there was nice to see since he never really showed her how much she means to him until then.

Sorry. I think I should have made myself clearer. I meant that they were waiting for the movie to come out on DVD and also for the final number 13's release. I haven't seen anywhere yet where they are gonna show the FMA movie. The battle between Scar and the crimson alchemist is a good one too. It is strange how Scar saves Al by Somehow making him the Philosophers Stone. I still wish that Roy and Riza would have become a couple!

crow-kun

Screw your anime moments. :P The best one for me are in the manga.

Basque Grand
One for when he charged onto the battlefield shouting, “I’m the Ironblood Alchemist prepare to get pwned *****es.”(that’s what he said in my head anyway)

The second when he shoot a higher officer point blank for being an ******* and trying to kill some Ishvalans who were trying to make peace.

Roy Mustang
When Lust was attacking Al and Riza, Roy comes in all bloody and banged up (he burned his wounds close *bad-****). He blows Lust’s legs away saying, “That’s right get on your knees *****.” Then he starts blowing her away with flames. But get this no gloves, sigil of blood sketched on his hand, making sparks with a lighter *bad-***!!!!!!!!*. She tries to attack but Roy won’t let up *BOOM BOOM BOOM*, suddenly he stops, eyes filled with a fiery passion look on. Lust’s finger stop short, it starts to deteriorate and the body along with it. The Flame Alchemist has won the battle and shall continue to burn bright…………..

Alphonse
In the beginning when Cray is pointing a gun at Ed after shooting Al’s head off. Cray makes some speech about being the will of god that they must die and Al gets back up and says, “That’s a mean god.” Cray + Al’s Fist = PWNAGE. It had to be one of the most painful looking punches ever. The whole side of his face banged up, teeth flying out of his mouth. MANGA ALPHONSE IS BADASS!!!!

Bradley
His fight with Greed and his comrades, pure awesome! He made Greed look like a sack of potatoes, cutting off arms, trusting his sword into Greed’s neck. Greed only got one hit off of him, “I don't have an ultimate shield like yours or ultimate blades that can cut through anything. How can a person like me survive battlefields full of flying bullets and shells and be able to rise to this rank...do you understand? Just as you have the ultimate shield. I have the ultimate eye. Well now, Greed. How many more times do I have to kill you before you die?” Then Dorchet and Roa came, talk about tossing out the trash. Dorchet went down easily enough then when he got to Roa brutal. From the way it was shown in the manga you could see the trace of the slash going through his eye diagonally so you knew he lost the half of his head *I want you to picture*.

Oh another loved moment...on episode 51..
They show Envy's real form.

When I first saw that I was like "OH SNAP!" It was so cool!

A hated part..I won't say moment since it is 2 episodes.
I am refering to episodes 1 & 2. They started the series with the Liore(sp?) deal and it made NO sense to do that. If you ask me it should have began with the "Mother" episode which is episode 3 in the anime series.

Kagura
October 11th, 2006, 08:20 PM
Envy's real form is totally awesome! I agree with you! It made no sense to start like that. It made things confusing at first. They really should have started with ED and Al doing the human transmutation and stuff like you say.

EmberAlchemist0
October 11th, 2006, 08:30 PM
The 3rd episode would have been the best 1st episode. The first two episodes deal with Father Cornello and Liore like I stated. Ed and Al already have the different bodies in the first two episodes. Anyone who sees the first two episodes without ever seeing any of the others wouldn't have any idea how it happened. Then episode 3 comes along and shows some of what actually happened. Now as the series goes along they show more and more of what actually happened.

Another loved moment for tonight...
I forget off hand which episode it happened in but it was when Izumi went and found the Elirc brothers and took them back to her town with them. Well while still on the train Ed and Al were trying to escape and Izumi tosses Ed's pocket watch at his head.

Kagura
October 11th, 2006, 08:38 PM

I just saw the movie and have to add another favorite: seeing human-body Al as an alchemist.

I hated Al throughout the show. He was soft, *****y and complained constantly. That was like his whole point. Ed would do something cool and then Al would come in with something soft and *****y to damn near ruin the moment. The Al from the movie is doing soul transfers with ease and is transmuted a tornado like it was child's play.

EmberAlchemist0
October 15th, 2006, 06:24 PM
^Yes seeing Al in human form was a good thing. Sure you seen glances here and there in the series, but all thru the movie he was in human form EXCEPT that one scene where he attached his soul to see Ed and of course during that skit in the begining of the movie. I liked seeing Al that way.

Kagura
October 15th, 2006, 08:03 PM
It was cool to see him finally in human form but I still thought he was cool anyway. I mean you would act differently too if your soul was trapped in a suit of armor and you lost your human body. DOn't you think so?

October 16th, 2006, 07:38 PM

Kagura
October 16th, 2006, 07:39 PM

I was watching some FMA early tonight. Now I don't usually listen to them in Japanese with the English words but for some reason I decided to. Anyways I was watching episode 5 "The Man with the Mechanical Arm". I set the language to Japanese...and now I have a favorite moment from this expierence. When Hughes was talking to Roy about his at the time pregnant wife Gracia. Riza then picks up the phone and says "Let me offer some feminine advice...babies aren't born after just 5 months!" (Or something close to that.) I laughed so hard hearing it in Japanese.

Kagura
October 17th, 2006, 09:14 PM

It was cool to see him finally in human form but I still thought he was cool anyway. I mean you would act differently too if your soul was trapped in a suit of armor and you lost your human body. DOn't you think so?

I can see being depressed. But Al *****es... ALOT. Constantly... he saves kitty cats and cries (not crying about being trapped in armor, crying about how Ed didn't rescue a puppy or something stupid like that) like once every 3 episodes. Plus he's a sucker in my opinion. He kept getting tricked and duped by like everyone all throughout the show.

The movie Al was... I don't think he cried or *****ed for a second. He expressed his emotions by transmuting tornados and laying waste to enemy forces with ease.

EmberAlchemist0
October 18th, 2006, 04:22 PM
If I recall he did scream out like a little girl at one point in the movie at least. When he saw that person die and ran towards the person to try to save him/her. Ed ran behind him and had him stop. That was kinda reckless. It is true tho that Al was whiney in the series. Heck he couldn't feel anything, eat anything, or whatever. If you ask me that would be depressing.

Which is pretty sad because at the time of his birth he was conditioned to become Furher and become a homunculus. :( I also like the part when Ed and Al were talking with the Bradley's wife and son. On their first meeting she slapped Bradley for being a jerk and the relationship built from there.

I finally saw the end of FMA yesterday. There were a decent amount of unanswered questions....

What happened to Dante? Was she eaten by Gluttony?Did Envy make it through the gate?Who was Pride based on in order for Mustang to use a skull to help kill him? Will Al and Ed ever see each other again?

Should i just buy the FMA movie [which i was already planning to do] to get some answers,or are these questions never answered?

Ed's body was reacting to the incomplete Philosopher's Stone, and since Ross already had feelings for the Elrics(in a motherish way), she felt that she had to help him someway, and if I remember correctly, she was the only person around ABLE to help him. She couldn't have slapped him, she did what she thought best

When Ed accidentally grabs Psiren's boobs while fighting her. That was a riot.

And Episode 13:

The battle between Ed and Roy. Would've been cooler without all the chibi, though.

And I think it was Episode 34:

Ed's reaction after he kills Greed. First off, that was a kickass fight scene. The transition from battle to tears shows that no matter how strong. He's still just a kid. Very powerful, IMO.
