First before we start with the "aw, wrestling's fake, it sucks" yes I know it's fake, but so is Anime and we all like that now, don't we? Basically, what i'm saying is, if you're one of those people who likes to reply to irritate others with posts like this and like that of what i'm about to type, don't even bother as they won't even be read.

And the "watching wrestling makes you gay, it's a bunch of sweaty men groping each other" well I wouldn't say that watching these means I (or any other male wrestling fan) am (is) gay.

And finally.

So, now that that's out the way.

I've just gotten Takers Tombstone and I want Foley's Greatest Hits And Misses and ECW's Bloodiest Matches. I'm also looking into TNA's Bloodiest Matches Vol 1.

But I was wondering if anyone knows of any real good DVD's that are complete matches (hate highlight matches), and full of action. Whether that action is any type of no DQ match (Lakker, TLC, HIAC etc...), or just a normal match that's really exciting to watch (like Taker VS Angle at NWO this year). It doesn't bother me which.

I'm just looking for ideas for X-MAS pressies that are cheap (DVD's are) and things that I want (meaning things that aren't Socks, lol). That way everyone wins :)

Just so you know, I don't like Mania, I don't think i've ever enjoyd a Mania (however there was a main event I saw as a kid, and it may or may not have been a Mania. Taker fought El Gigante, Hogan and Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake fought Money INC., Yokuzuna fought either Bret "The Hitman" Hart or the Ultimate Warrior. and I think Earthquake fought some dude), i'm not the biggest WCW fan (althought Sting rocks!), and I don't like other factions than WWF/E, TNA and ECW.

Thanks in advance guys :)

Wrestlemania 22 was a great show. So many good matches. Plus, Shawn Micheals jumping off a 25 foot ladder onto Mr. McMahon. Roh yeah! There are a lot of great matches besides that though.(Mickie James wi ns the title!)

Divas Do New York is my favorite. <3  For obvious reasons.

ECW One Night Stand 2006 is great.

Taboo Tuesday 2005 had a GREAT, probably the best, tag team match I ever saw. Matt Hardy+Rey Mysterio vs. Snitsky and Chris Masters.

I'll list more if you want them, check these out first.

PS: Rise and Fall of ECW is another great one.

PSS: Mickie James>Torrie Wilson

Waht? oh na, i was just...>_< Runs away.

Lol, knew that'd have some sort of funny effect.

There's a really nice pic of the top one, so I put it up here, and it was MASSIVE! (like 1500 X 1500, it filled my screen, which is 17") So I changed it to that.

I've seen most of those Kenshin.

And the only one I enjoyed was ONS2.

Rise And Fall might be worth a look though. Is it matches or is is a docu?

kenshinbebop

Rise and Fall is a documentary, but the extras have full length historic matches. But it really show the true colors of the REAL ECW, not this wannabe of the old times thats on tv now....

But this one is ok too! :D

EDIT is crashing my browser, let's try a reply.

Never been keen on Mickie, but Maria is a WOWEE IMO.

I can't find any really good pics of her, this is the best of a bad bunch. You'd think google would have some, but nope. Not any that aren't massive.

I hate the new ECW. Apparently they went to the arena where ONS is always held, and were boo-ed out of there by everyone. Tons of the same chants from ONS2.

Yeah.
Uh, the McMahon DVD is a documentary on Mr. McMahon, but the extras \have the most superb matches ever. Including Mr. McMahon vs. his own daughter!!

PS:
Never been keen on Mickie,

GASP!

I know, on the site I used to goto, she was very hit and miss. Some loved her others didn't.

Just please tell me you're not a Melina fan. IMO she's a man. It's Pete Burns from DOA.

I mean honestly, can you tell any difference?

No, I don't think ANYONE likes Melina.

Johnny Nitro pisses me off as well, but I gotta hadn it to him, he's very athletic and agile.

You'd be surprised. I posted up that I didn't like her and 12 people called me a "***", only 1 defended me and agreed.

Yeah the whole of MNM pissed me off, lol.

There's not many superstars that I like anymore. About 16 that are active out of 70. That's not alot at all is it?

Well, IMO, there are Divas that are there to look pretty, ad there are Divas that are there to wrestle. I don't mind the first one, but they deffinately shouldn't be champs. I can;t take them seriously. There are only a select few that have the ability to be a real wrestler.

i do watch it everynow and then for the females, but i stopped really watching it like 6 years ago, just got sick of it.

DEMON212
October 1st, 2006, 05:37 PM
Yeah, about 6 years ago it got bad and then declined even more. At least DX make it watchable again :)

Yeah, Trish, Lita, Victoria and Jazz can IMO wrestle. But I only ever find Trish and Lita entertaining enough to watch, in that way that is, lol.

Stacy used to do porn, my mate accidently stumbled upon it whilst being incredible bored and searching for weird ****.

Not officially though, just something she done for her BF who then split with her on bad terms and put it online.

kenshinbebop
October 1st, 2006, 05:41 PM
See, I on the other hand don't think Lita is that great of a wrestler. Lately at least. Ever since she hooked up with Edge, she kept declining more and more. The past 3 matches I've seen were either the match moving so slow it was almost unwatchable, or her opponent being the one that makes the match enjoyable. (Ie: Mickie was practically dragging Lita through their match, half of Litas punches were visibly not connecting, and yet Mickie still fumbled  )

DEMON212
October 1st, 2006, 05:48 PM
That's because she had a career ending neck injury. She'll never wrestle properly again :(

Same as Stone Cold Steve Austin.

True blue. :(

I'm still pulling for Mickie to win this 8 Diva contest for the title though. :D

DEMON212

So forget the Divas, who's your fav wrestler?

Taker, always has been always will be my fav (ever since I first saw him at the age of 3, maybe 4). True fan, never deserted him. Although when you take a 6 year break from WWF and come back to see him as the Phenom, you do kinda think, is that Taker? So I wasn't sure for a little bit if I was supporting the right guy, lol.

But that gap happened because my uncle stopped taping it for us :(

So I miss all the sodding good stuff (Attitude) and came back just before this split crap :(

But the gap was ended in 1999 when (my bro says we didn't watch this, but we did, our mate taped it for us and he can't remeber the event) we seen Unforgiven (maybe Summerslam) and the match we saw was Taker and Show VS **** Pac and Kane. Whom I was positive was the old Taker and that the Phenom was a different guy. Because I looked at Taker and he was facially different, and he had Black hair not Ginger. Whereas Kane had a bit of a Ginger beard going on. So I wasn't sure who was who, lol. But now I know that he just died his hair and aged.

I really want to see that Taker VS Taker match though (missed alot of the old stuff too because he didn't tape it all the time for us :(). I thought it'd be on Tomb Stone but it's not :(

Yeah, Undertaker is great. My fave is probably tied fro John Cena and Jeff Hardy, the two smart-***es of the WWE. They're just so quirky adn full of energy.

As for Smackdown, I like Lashley and Matt Hardy.

But I like ALMOST everyone.

I'm going to stick to the original question. The new DVD on Brian Pilman looks to be very good, I'm really looking foward to the bonus matches on there. It really doesn't matter though because I cannot remember a bad match with this guy in there.

The Bret Hart DVD was amazing, I still say that some of his work with his brother Owen (R.I.P), especially the Wrestlemania X match, is some of the best wrestling I have ever seen.

The Dusty Rhodes DVD is a very interestng watch as I have enjoyed that guy for years and some of his older matches from the late 70's and early 80's is some damn fine wrestling.

Even if you never cared for New Jack, do yourself a favor and pick up the DVD "New Jack: Hardcore" from Hollymood Entertainment and watch an excellent piece on one of the most interesting and unafraid people to ever step foot into the ring.

Also get Wrestlemanis X7 just for the Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit match that can bring a tear to your eye for it's sheer greatness.

Heres a must own DVD about the best wrestler in Wrestling History:

http://nwawrestling.com/images/zyy_tna_raven.jpg

Quote the Raven, Nevermore!

TNA's website has a deal for the Jeff Hardy, Raven & AJ Styles dvds (2 discs each) for $35 total. Not to bad if you ask me.

DEMON212
October 2nd, 2006, 05:23 PM
Can't stand Raven. But AJ rocks. I want the soon to be released Daniels DVD and i'm thinking about getting Samoa's DVD. Only thing is, I know Samoa hasn't lost, so i'll know the out come to all of the matches, even the ones I haven't seen :(

My fave is probably tied fro John Cena and Jeff Hardy

You like Cena?!

Holy ****. Possibly the worst wrestler to ever hold the title. And possibly the worst wrestler to ever grace the ring.

But then again he is the most controversial champ ever. %50 hate him and %50 love him. There's been so many arguements on the old site I went to about him either sucking or rocking, lol.

The new DVD on Brian Pilman looks to be very good, I'm really looking foward to the bonus matches on there. It really doesn't matter though because I cannot remember a bad match with this guy in there.

Cool, Pilman used to be a canny wrestler. Unsure about Hart, can't really rember him that much, so I don't know if it's worth a buy. I need to find some old matches of his and watch them. Maybe the Taker DVD will convince me, he has 2 on there.

Any news on HBK or HHH releasing a best of?

Mid 90's wrestling DVDs...

kenshinbebop
October 2nd, 2006, 05:38 PM
HHH and HBK already have a "best of" if you call it that...the history of DX is oput on DVD's with tons of matches. It's a must see IMO.

And yes I like Cena!!
People can't stand him because he's a street-hip rapper with style. He's a "thug". But the fact is, he cna talk the talk and walk the walk. If he says something, he'll back it up. And that's what I like about him. He's a great wrestler. IMO of course.

*just realising RAW is on in 20 minutes*

DEMON212
October 2nd, 2006, 05:47 PM
I don't like him for what you said, plus that he can't wrestle, his moves are poor and his timing is crap, he's a total n00b and we all hate the fact that no-matter how bad he is beaten, he miraculasly (can't spell for ****) comes back and wins. Which makes wrestling look even more fake than it is.

He's a complete tosser.

I mentioned the DX DVD (didn't I? Not sure, hang on. Nope, I mentioned it elsewhere, that's why.) but it only has 7 matches. Do they have another one out in the U.S?

I was also after the R.V.D one, but heard it's cut matches, so won't be getting it.

Same with "Best Cage Matches Ever".

Granted they were mild non-sencicle spoilers, but still, did you have to post spoilers?

I said I didn't watch it live. I just seen DX 'cause I was inserting the DVD to record it for my bro.
