I think I'd recommend them all except The Fifth Elephant, which was the only one I thought was merely 'okay'.
What I recommend most highly is reading the major arcs IN ORDER. I know there reallly is no order to many of them, and they can be enjoyed out of sequence. But I also think that they're more enjoyable if you read the major arcs (The Witch stories, The Watch stories) in the order in which the characters are introduced, if possible.
Small Gods can be read on its own, since it doesn't much rely on any other story. It's funny if you know who CMOT Dibbler is prior to reading it, but the joke is explained. It's a pretty good story, I think.
The Color Of Magic is where you'd start to read about Rincewind's adventures, and those can be fun. You'd follow it up with The Light Fantastic and so on. Interesting Times is one of my favorites, featuring both Rincewind and Cohen The Barbarian.
My favorite character would be Esme Weatherwax, and I've reread the Witches stories often enough. Sam Vimes is a great character, and Night Watch was probably the best Discworld book I've read. You DEFINITELY want to read the other Watch novels first on that one, I think.

I started reading these books back in June and I must say I was impressed. The author displays a huge pool of imagination and manages to keep it funny and hilarious all along.
I've read The Color of Magic, The Light Fantastic, Equal Rites, Sourcery and Faust(barred) Eric so far and my favorite is Equal Rites among them.
I also read the short story between Death and a philosopher going on about how Quantum Physics makes it so that the philosopher never really dies. I laughed all along. ^_^
I'm picking up Mort next, whenever I'll get the chance to do so.

I have to recommend Thief of Time. It works on so many levels. And Monstrous Regiment. The end is... well, it's expected, but still funny.
But I have to say, I love anything with the Watch or Ridcully. Or Granny Weatherwax...

Ten point to who can guess which book is my favorite. I would recommend that some of the Night Watch frist to get some of the inside jokes in Monstrous Regiment, I would also say read Mort beofre Thief of Time.
Has anyone read his non discworld books like Good Omens?

I haven't read Good Omens yet, but it's on my list.
What amazes me about Pratchett is how MANY books he's written, and how fresh it all is. He's got this seemingly bottomless reserve of ideas that he taps into, it's amazing.
I think the next book I'm reading is Thud!. I've read... counts them up... 25 novels so far, and I haven't come close to getting tired of Pratchett's style. I've reread most of the novels I own several times. Great stuff.
Since it's easier to list the Discworld novels I haven't read:
- Mort
- Sourcery
- Pyramids
- Soul Music
- Thief of Time
- The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents
- Monstrous Regiment
- Going postal
- Thud!
- Wintersmith

Death and Rincewind are my favourite characters so any books centered around them i like. Reaper Man was a good one.

I think my favorites are best divided into funniest and most thrilling. The Light Fantastic was the first one I read and still holds its place as the funniest, while most thrilling goes to either Night Watch or Thud!.
At least I think it's Thud!, where Vimes absolutely must be home by 6 to read Where is My Cow? to little Sam, and goes completely berserk the one time he can't.

Have you read Hogfather yet? It centers around both Death and Susan Sto-Helit. I laughed aloud quite a few times while reading it.

I'll just say "reflected sound of underground spirits" and leave it at that for the time being.

Just bought Mort and Pyramids today. I'm about a hundred pages into the first and so far it's very entertaining.
I forgot to mention that the one I found most hilarious was Eric.
And I have to agree with Desslock. At first, I could not believe how prolific Terry Pratchett is as a writer, but after reading five of his books, I'm starting to think that the man has an infinite supply of imagination, which he seems to deny.
