This maybe the wrong place to ask about this but I didn't know where to ask it. Anyways..exactly how many different sets are there for the FMA trading card game? I saw different ones like the Ed set, Roy Mustang etc etc. Is there one whole set where you can get all the cards in one? I'm looking to buy these but I wanted to ask about it first. Thanks!

The only card I have is the Scar card that came with one of the DVD's.

One of your DVDs came with a Scar card? It must have been one of those metal box set DVDs right? I bought all mine DVDs individually so I didn't get a card. I'm just trying to find some info about the cards. I'd really like to get a complete set with all the cards if I can.

Each character set is just a starter deck. Theres 4 or 5 series' with a lot of different cards (100-300 cards per set, not including the hard to find cards). I was tempted to get into the game, just seems a bit hard to learn compared to some of the easier games like Magic, Yu-gi-Oh and even Vs. System.

Ive got the Ed & Scar starter decks (and the Scar card that came with Tin #2). You can find the cards for pretty cheap on ebay. A 24 pack box of the premier series goes for around $30.

Nope, It was the standard DVD I think it was Vol 7 or 8.

Hmm..my Volume 6 didn't come with one. >_< None of mine did at all!

I've seen the cards on sale on ebay but I personally don't want to buy them from there. If anyone knows a good place to buy the starter sets or tin sets other than ebay please let me know. If I have to buy individual sets I will. I was kinda hoping for a full set tho..oh well. I'm not buying to play the game just buying for collection purposes. ^_^

You can buy packs and booster boxes from Walmart & Target. Other than that, most mom & pop comic/card shops should have them. Though all their prices are 3-5x more than ebay's.

I checked two different wal-marts in the last two days. They didn't carry them. :(
I am going to target here sometime soon so I'll check there. Thanks Bezerker! :) I don't think I'd want to pay 3-5 times more for them.

I haven't seen any FMA cards for sale around our area. But if I do ever see any I'll let you know. But, I know that vol. 6 should have had the card in it. If I buy the cards I'd buy them to look at and collect! There's no where around here that holds any kind of tournament or competetive play anyway.

Ok thanks!

I'm kinda glad there isn't anything like that. It would get out of hand around here if there was one. Besides I highly doubt many around here are into FMA to begin with.

You're welcome. I hope that somewhere around here will start selling them soon!

I've been collecting the card game and found the best places to go would be ToysRUs and other toy stores as well as different Wal-Mart & Target locations, you could also check their respective websites for info.
It's very simple to start but once you get going it gets very complex.

I'm a huge fan of the series, but my ex-fiancee decided to call me Ed as a term of endearment and it really creeped me out.
