I sort of agree. I thought it was a really cool video, even without having seen all of DBZ. The SSJ transformation for Goku and SSJ2 for Gohan were especially cool and very well transitioned. But I'll have to agree with ThatJonKid, it's a miracle I'm not convulsing on the floor in a seizure at this very moment. -_-;

All of the individual editors had a lot of fun working on the project, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for checking it out. Thanks so much!

To stay on subject, while I go back and forth on what my favorite video is, it tends to be Kevin Caldwell's Believe (http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=218). The attention to flow still far surpasses anything I've seen since then, and the underlying story is absolutely impressive, especially considering everything else going on in the video.

Honestly, I was wondering the exact same thing. We see threads that come up all the time and have other threads that grow huge from large numbers of posts. Then an AMV thread comes along. It's the first AMV thread in a long while and gets two and a half pages of posts rather slowly. And suddenly it's stickied. I was a bit confused, but oh well. Just know you're definately not alone in your line of thought Leader Desslock.

People wouldn't look, anyway, unless it was in the main anime forum. Still, I agree with you. A better option would be to create an AMV forum as a subforum of the Music forum, IMO. That would probably get quite some traffic, with people sharing tips on "How To", and info about new releases.

I think that's a rather ignorant interpretation of what's happening, don't you think? I have already posted several AMVs I enjoyed on this thread, as well as responding to some of the AMVs that were posted by others. Go back and look at the first page if you don't believe me, I've participated in this thread as much as anyone. There's a difference between "hating on the AMVs" and not understanding why a seemingly fleeting thread got stickied.

I have nothing against this thread, I enjoy AMVs and this thread has actually helped me find several more good ones. But I don't understand the logic of this thread getting a sticky in the main Anime forum. Does that offend you? It shouldn't, but if it does then you have my apologies.

Do you have the DivX and XviD codecs? Usually if the video won't display it's the lack of the codec that it uses. Most likely it is one of those two. I would check DivX first. Google it, good luck.

Was I one of "you three"? If so, I assure you there is no hate involved. It's simply that since I work as staff on another forum, I have strong personal views about keeping things in the right place, and the proper allocation of resources.

Post an AMV I like? Well my favourite is an Evangelion AMV set to Ramms+ein's "Engel". I'll edit the post later to provide a link, but I'm sure everyone's seen it. It's something of a classic, isn't it? ^_^

Same thing happens for me. Something must be up with it. Could be the browser though. I'm using Firefox, I don't know what you're using. Likely an issue on AMV.org's side though.

I have nothing against AMV's, although I don't watch them myself. I think it's a fine topic, I just couldn't understand why it was stickied when so many other repeated topics AREN'T stickies.

I liked the suggestion of moving this sticky topic to the Anime Music forum. That makes the most sense.

Anyway as of the current moment my favorite is AMV Hell 3, even if it used a bunch of ideas that I hnad in mind before I saw it.

Ive only looked for songs I liked, so I dont have much of a broad opinion on most other AMVs.

There was one done for 'Blood: The Last Vampire' to a mix of KoRns 'Make Me Bad'. I think it was called 'Sickness and Salvation'.

Another one that was funny was for Big Wars called 'Phsycological Damage' with KoRns 'Reclaim My Place' where the dude showed off the best scenes and warned you not to buy that piece of crap anime

-The part with Hans Mole Man Productions of a Man Getting Hit By Football and it shows Shinji getting hit in the nuts with a football. :lol:

-The part with Fruits Basket where it's using the audio of Peter and Brian from Family Guy talking when Peter did that play of the King and I. Very hilarious. :lol:

For anyone who hasn't watched this video, you absolutely must. It's well worth the hour+ to watch it. I'm gonna burn it to a DVD just so I can watch it on my TV. ;)

I have been editing anime music videos for a bit over a year now. Our studio has arranged several AMV-shows and Iron Chef-competitions here in Finland at various cons. Needless to say they have been a blast and successful in entertaining the folk.

I won't talk much about the subject though, because this forum isn't really the best place to discuss it. I can't provide a link to the AMV that I am about to name due to the fact that I downloaded it from this new program I just installed and am paying for with this weeks earnings called Limewire. Well, I didn't look at it like that. I mean, if I looked at it like that, I guess it wouldn't be that funny. I'm a huge yaoi fan and love almost all things in that category. Well, big news at the .Org

Now there are no vids by Evanescence, Seether, or Creed allowed on the site anymore. Apparently some bloody genius thought one of these bands made an AMV and called the record label. So, long story short AMV.org is no longer allowed to have any vids with these songs on the site.

Many people were freaking out, but I didn't hear about it until today(the news came out on Tues) But, it doesn't worry me(even though one of my vids is offline now) Most of my vids will now be indi bands or bands no one cares about anymore.

I posted one of my videos on Youtube, immediately took it down after I viewed it. The quality is beyond terrible. It looks so pixelated and the gamma correction makes it look so much darker.

I've been an avid AMV watcher for a few years now but lately I've been struggling to find any new, amazing videos. Even the last few conventions I have went to have had good videos but nothing jumps out as great.

My current AMV top 20 doesn't have one video that was made in the last 1 1/2 years. I've probably just become harder to please as I've seen more videos.

I'm by no means insulting anyone who has made a video, because that is more than I ever accomplished. I started a video a long time ago but never really finished it. I got all the way through it but didn't get around to cleaning it up and synching up the effects.

I made all of my videos with Windows Movie Maker 1 and Virtual Dub. I haven't made one since my Windows Xp was updated and it automatically installed WMM2. That thing crashes so often it's insane.

Since no one else seems inclined to mention it, I feel I should say that AMV Hell: Championship Edition has been out since June 6. It's pretty good, although I disagree with some of the winners when comparing them to the runners-up. For example, for the song 'Hurt' by Johnny Cash the winner was an Azumanga Daioh video, but I feel that the Berserk one was far more amusing, which was supposed to be the goal in the competition. Ah well.

I have several GIGS of very romantic anime music videos (that shouldn't surprise you). but for sheer AWESOMNESS, nothing can touch AMV Hell 3 The Motion Picture.

There are "proper" places to find decent anime music videos of course.
Worst place is emule (it's the trash can of AMVs).

But if you are a Google and or Youtube prowler, you should know, a plug in for Firefox allows you to genuinely download the video. After that, its a simple matter to get a free program like Super to convert the file format from that craptastic .flv format.

I'm taking the opportunity here to mention, god I hate people that insist on matching up nice animes to obnoxious music. Linkin Park sucks donkey wang, and is useless for all but tired over used Naruto and DBZ videos.

The song "everlong - Foo fighters" just fits in with the anime and story so well. The video is about Ryoko and her love for Tenchi, While the video quality might be sub par it all pulls together for quite a moving Tenchi AMV.

I think AMV's are really cool in the way that are presented on Youtube. The American music that usually plays with them give them a different perspective and at times can make me get into that anime series again.

It could take a day or more for the thumbnail to appear. It's sometimes longer if the site is undergoing maintenance.
