Hey guys,

just wondering if any of you major in Japanese and what are you plan on doing with your degree?
I am actually a japanese major at California State University of Fullerton. Even though I can speak the language(around intermediate level) and am Japanese, my goal is to plan on studying more kanji and hopefully taking the JPLT level 1 after I graduate. I plan on gettting my TESOL certificate to teach english in Japan. ^_^

The college I am going to transfer to next year only has Japanese as a minor, though many people are pressing for it to be a major as well. If it becomes one, I do believe i will major in it, get my teaching degree, and teach Japanese in a college somewhere.
Teaching English in Japan would be neat, but I don't want to live away from my family for that long.

I've been considering taking a Japanese course someday, but only because I don't think I'll get extremly far on my own.

By the way Kennycrft, I sent you a Private Messege ;)

Cool~^^
I'm not a Japanese major but I am studying it for other career purposes~
I'm also taking the JLPT level 1 test this December~!
It's a challenge but I hope I can pass the test. ^_^

On to the topic..I would love to take a japanese course and learn how to read kanji, if I could. Hmm..maybe I'll look into that.

It's that time of year for seniors to start thinking about sending in apps... I know I'm going to select Japanese as a major... either at Miami University (in Ohio), San Fransisco State university or U of Minnesota.

I sorta want to minor in Music Ed. or performance (bass).
