I read that a baby fetus is the new fast selling food in Japan. Tell me this isn't true. If it is how recent is it and how big is this canibalistic market?

well, We all agree that...at least one person in the whole world ate one... right?....Its basicaly like eating a chicken egg. A cruel fact but its similar....I really cant...I dont have opinion...nor was I shocked...This action..seems so human like.

My opinion...I doubt that in "Japan" they eat it, strangely..It doesnt bother me if they eat it.

Anyway, I hardly see the need for Japan, a contry with a low enough child population in comparison to its aging population would eat human embyo or fetus's.
There's also...ya know, LEGALITY/ethical issues involved, even in China's case. But things go backwards sometimes in the rural not to mention rural areas there...
Really though, they should stick to "duck in the shell "fetus like the Phillipines do. =P

The chicken eggs you normally eat have not been fertilized. I suppose in most cases, the chickens have not even ever seen a rooster for all their lives.
Eating a chicken egg does not equal eating a fetus. It rather equals swallowing semen. Which isn't cannibalism.

no it doesn't equal eating semen. that would be if you ate the roosters spooge. its an egg. i eat eggs because the thought of eating it doesn't bother me but if you think about it. its the same as eating an unfertalized human egg. or any other animal for that matter so... its still kinda gross

well the website is halarious, but i am not sure if the news is true. Some of the pics looked scripted rather than real. I just read "I've fu$@#d my way in to this and I'll fu%$ my way out" article. It was funny.

ok this is all iknow about this... the only reason i know this is because of my japanese ex-change student friend told me...

he explained it like this..... ".5% of japanese eat the baby inside the women tummy (meaning the fetus but he didnt know what that was), it's suppose to be good for you but i have not tried it." and i was like... ehhhh right why are you telling me...
oh and he also said it's free service for people who want an abortion... -_- i really didn't want him to tell me but he is japanese so i expected them to say random things about their country >_<"

Though I didn't make that comment, I can testify to it.
I have read numerous arcticles of the latest trend in the cosmetic market: Products containing human embryo produce aquired for the use in anti-aging products. Aborted foetuses, Umbilical cord fluid, placenta, Amnionic fluid and stem cells are used in particular (and expensive)brands. Some brands are even using dead skin from executed chinese convicts in their products, apparently, it gives a "Plumping" effect on the skin.
Disgusting, but indeed true.
Some hospitals even offer the new-mothers back their after-birth to take home, cook and eat to replace the minerals and vitamins lost to the baby during pregnancy.

LOL, my school just showed a foreign film that was like 3 "horror" (althogh only one of them was spooky) films from asia. In one of them, this lady was eating fetuses. LOL, I wonder if someone saw that and then told you, "yeah man, I think they eat baby fetuses all the time in Japan."

I think ultimately the point is, despite that fact that there have been or are people who might do this (and certainly there have been cultures that practice some forms of cannabilism), that it's certainly no where near a norm and nothing that can be said that "the Japanese" do.
