3D TV could be three years away (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/5360742.stm) - BBC News

Holographic TV will be in 10-20 years, but "Lower-end technologies, such as stereoscopic 3D will be commonplace in homes and cinemas in about three years."

Be prepare to throw away your new TV... I'll save it in some corner to watch old good anime.
