Hey, i havent seen a program thread, probally there was once. Anyway, I would like to know if anyone knows of any programs to Trim MIDI. I have been using a few a long time now but they aren't that good. Shareware or freeware would be great. Able MIDI Editor is what i currently use. However I can only trim off the end. I am looking for a program that can cut the beginning as well. I have tried many others before and they won't work properly. Any answers?

Don't know if it'll trim MIDI files, but check out the demo that fruityloops is giving out on their site.

Check MIDI Software (http://www.borg.com/~jglatt/progs/software.htm). MIDI File Disassembler/Assembler especially. Not so easy to use, but the result could be overwhelming.

Fruity Loops I had that program still do , but it is for creating music, not sure about trimming parts of midis. And for teh MIDI link, that is a bit more comprehensive to use but i know about that program already. Still it doesn't trim or edit midi lenghts.
Any one else got any leads?

Try Audacity maybe. It lets you take sound files and cut them up into pieces. Works with wavs and mp3s perfectly, so I'd imagine it could handle midis.

^ No, it can't. MIDI is totally different thing.

There's a BitPim on windows but it's just a program to access the file directory system of mobile devices (like cell phones). I've never heard any functionality related to midis.

I have downloaded a trial version of MIDI Maestro. I am not sure if it can do exactly what it said since it is a trial version.
