Temari and Shikamaru

I'm only up to episode 90 but I wondered if there was a reason why fans always pair up Temari and the Shikamaru.

i think the scene that really 'confirmed' there was a spark between the two was at the very end of the 'Sasuke Retrieval' arc.

Plus, Shikamaru seems to be following in his father's footsteps. Shika' and his father are very similar, and Temari and Shika's mother seem to be very similar aswell, from what little we've seen from her atleast.

I don't think Shikamaru has an Oedipus complex. Guys who have that actively seek a girl that is similar to their mother. Shikamaru seems to want to avoid anything like that, hence his belief that he will marry an average non-troublesome girl. His mother is why he doesn't like women.

The fact that Shikamaru will end up with a girl like his mother is more for comedic effect. He wants to avoid the fate of his father, but he won't be able too. He will end up with a girl that is even scarier than his own mother.

Shikamaru x Temari started in episode 64 when they fought each other. They seemed to have some chemistry and some fans latched on to it. It didn't really start until episode 125 when Temari saved Shikamaru's life. There was definitely some hints there including the infamous smile. Then the hospital scene in episode 135 and their departing in 142 added fuel to the fire.

In Part II:

They are together at the beginning of Part II where Naruto believes they are on a date. Temari is there to help Shikamaru with the upcoming chuunin exams.

Shikamaru x Temari is one of the few couples people think will happen in the manga. Shikamaru with Ino is also a popular pairing. Basically for the same reasons as Shikamaru x Temari, but with far less canon evidence to back it up.

i have like 5 or so reasons why.

1- cause of the spark at the end of Sakuke retriaval arc lie ark said
2- cause there perfect 4 1 another
3-cause of the "date" on naruto shippuuden ep 1 ( comon u all know it really was)
4-cause everything that happens to temari has to do wit shikamaru also vice versa
5- cause temari is the sexiest anime girl ever ^^

Who does and what's Naruto 2?

That would be the "second" Naruto anime series, Naruto Shippuden (it recently starting airing in Japan, like within the past couple months). It takes place after all the fillers, and it's when Naruto and the gang are two years older.

As for why fans pair together Temari and Shikamaru... Well, all the reasons I would have given have already been mentioned, so...

yeah, ino and shika will never happen. but I could see ino and chouji because there have been a few choice scenes here and there. I dont know the ep numbers or anything like that but I've seen it

also, it would be fitting because ino was so superficial and all about the prettyboys (ala sasuke) at the beginning of naruto, and to have her hook up with "big boned" chouji would be funny and ironic
