I'd think that after almost ten years, SOMEONE would have found this, but I've never seen anyone mention it, so I'm just going to go ahead with my inquiry.
You know those two scenes in End of Evangelion during the Komm Susser Tod sequence where images flash really quickly at the rate of, erm, like... one image every frame? Well, I like to just pause them at random times to see if I can recognize the elements that make up the picture and where in the series they come from. Sometimes they look like they'd make nice desktop wallpaper.
Anyway, a couple of days ago, at a rate of randomly pausing about once per second, I found this:

Is that a large pimple on Toji's upside-down chin? Could be, but I'm pretty sure it's a nipple. Judging from the complexion, I'm guessing it's Rei's. But wait! No nipples were ever shown in the series up until End of Evangelion (alright, to be fair, they did show one for about two frames in Rei I, but at the corner of the screen so you could only see it on a computer monitor). And nipples were less detailed than that in End of Evangelion.
So, my question is, where did that nipple come from?! Some of the images mixed in the seizure-sequence appear to be from black and white concept art, but this is in relatively detailed color.
Then, once again today, while taking random pictures, I found this:

I can't really tell what most of what's in this picture is, but it looks like there's another pair of breasts with an exposed nipple... from nowhere in the series. These aren't even from the part where there's all that weird stuff right before Asuka says "I'd rather die than do it with you". These are mixed in with the screenshots from the show with effects applied to them.
Where did these nipples come from?! Why are they there?!
And, while I'm at it, let's fast forward a little into the sequence with all that ecchi stuff and moaning going on in the background.

I'm sure someone's asked THIS, but what is all that red stuff? It's throughout the sequence, not just in that picture. It kind of looks like blood, sort of.
And finally, this would probably be pretty obvious if I were to look, but what does this say?
