im in my junior year and i need to start picking a school. the two most important things in my choice are if they have a programing coarse and japanese. i dont realy care where it is as long as its in america. but most schools ive looked at only have basic foreign languages such as spanish french and german. i already took spanish, only because my school only had those languages(god it sucks).

if anyone has any ideas i would be very thanksful ^_^

you should try using a college search engine like MyRoad, that's how i've been doing my college search, it lets you choose all the things you want in a college and then searches for which colleges fit all of your requirements, although i'm not sure if it's open to everyone, all i know is that my school district helped us to set up accounts when we were still in middle school, and it's been really helpful since

MyRoad - Find a College

there are other college search sites on the net, i think sparknotes has one too, so if this doesnt work for you, look for other ones

Maybe an idea of where you live could help too.

I start orientation for my freshman year tomorrow... as you search, and in order for us to be even remotely helpful, we need to know your relative GPA/Extracurrics/Money-Range/SAT/ACT/etc. etc.

Most schools outside the basic community colleges will have the programs you want, but there's a big difference between the high-end ones and the lesser ones.

[Warning: Bias cometh]
I just want to plug my local UW (University of Washington), which has one of best Japanese language programs out there. Many if not most schools have programs, and a quite a few minors, but hardly and places have real majors. The UW has not one but two Japanese Language major options! One focuses more on hard core linguistics, and the other on Japanese literature.
What's more, they also have a highly respected Japanese Studies program, and libraries for both the Asian Languages and Literature and the Asian Studies programs (as well as most other libraries at the UW) are some of the best in the nation. I'll probably end up there myself (I'm going into my senior year of high school this September).
Oh. One last thing. Many schools you may look at will have lots of exchange programs all over the world. Most with a sister school in Japan. The UW has 12, count 'em twelve exchange programs to Japan alone.
Okay. Theres my rant. Take it or leave it.
(I suggest you take it)

The UW sounds like a pretty good fit to me, but it might not be worth it depending on where you live. There might be a perfectly good school where you could get in-state tuition and preferential selection. If you feel comfortable saying it over the internet, what state do you live in?
