Here is the new Bleach comercial from Adult Swim. It has Ichigo's and Rukia's new voices. They are ok but then again it just a trailer.

I like Ichigo's voice, As usuall not better than the Jap. but really good. Didn't like Rukia's as much.

Ichigo and rukia sound to timid. I'm thinking this is going effect the intensity appeal of the fights. Ichigo does alot of talking with that harsh voice.

Saw the trailer and enjoyed what I heard from the little snippet. Rukia in particular sounded well done. It's hard for me to make comparisons with the Japanese version as I've only seen about 3 episodes; I'm more of a manga reader.
One thing that I couldn't stand in the Japanese version (the very little that I saw), was Ichigo's battle cries, it sounded very grating on the ears and almost laughable. Someone please tell me that it improved as the series went on.
Even if you have to lie, just tell me it did.

I played through the trailer about 4 times... at first I was a little taken aback. The voices aren't bad, they just seem really different. But if you watch it through a few times, it seems a bit more fitting, fluid. Ichigo sounds a bit more relaxed, but the few battle yells I heard were pretty accurate.
Seems like it'll be a good dub to me. Assuming that Kon is well casted :D
And Hitoriki... <lie>it improved as it went on.</lie>

ya, i noticed too that their voices were not as thrilled, or out spoken as the jap. verson. atleast they were not horrible, it matched pretty good. ^_^

After watching Bleach in Japanese so long I don't think I could get use to listening to it in English. Ichigo's English voice was alright I don't know about the others yet.

I liked what I heard, especially Rukia. Although its best not to judge on a really short promo like that with just a few lines. Sometimes I'll watch a trailer & the voices don't sound that good but then I watch the show & the voices sound very good. Overman King Gainer for example.

Well, Bosche has lots of experience. He's a good VA, but his voice is different from the seiyuu's. I like Rukia's voice.
You can't really judge from a 30 sec spot, though.

To a certain extent, they will always be different. What I look for is if the actor conveys the same impression in English as the original Japanese actor. It doesn't have to sound the same, or even use similar words. What coulds is that if Ichigo sounds like a badass, somewhat arrogant, and rather laconic Japanese youth, Ichigo should sound kinda like a badass, somewhat arrogant, and rather laconic American youth.
I'm pretty confident that Bosch can pull that off.

Ditto. I enjoy the Japanese voices so much more, but the english ones didn't make me cringe. I could handle watching a few dub episodes, but then I would just go to Youtube and watch them in Japanese.

I liked it, but not too much. It's bearable (spelling?), But as said before it's not better than the japenese version

If I can recall my own words in the thread for this anime's promo back in the General Anime board, I had said that this, like with all dubs, is not going to be for everyone.
I've watched the preview several times over now online, and I saw it on TV just the other night. Being an avid fan of English dubs, Bleach has one of my favorite VAs (namely, Michelle Ruff), among the cast, so personally for me, this is already a winner. The little of what I heard from the character Rukia, I liked.
Ichigo will take a little time. I never 'was' used to Johnny Young Bosch's voice to begin with, but it's not at all bad by any means...just a little low on my ears.
Thing to keep in mind here. Dubs take a little time to grow as the VAs warm up to their roles. In every one I've listened to (and I've listened to them with nearly every anime I've gotten into in my 10 years), they always started off rocky in the first few episodes. Bleach is looking to be a long series, seeing as it's still running in Japan, so, there's lots of wiggle room here. To be fair, I'd probably give it a dozen eps before really calling it a day with the dub version.
Also, Japanese are just natrually higher-pitched in vocal tone. For my ears, and also not being fluent with Japanese (not as much as I'd like to be anyways)...the 'sameness' in the voices makes things confusing for me.
To each their own of course. I can't base complete judgement on a 30-second clip, let alone, a full episode or two.
What I'm looking forward to is the overall plot, which to me, seems more interesting. One little nag I do have about anime like this and Naruto though, is that they throw all kinds of termnology at the viewer. I swear, I'm going to need a dictionary for all this. :P
Looking forward to the premiere.

It's only the beginning. The VA's will get better later on the series like FMA VA's. I like Ichigo's voice.

It's impossible to make an accurate judgement based on a little commercial but it sounded alright. I'll reserve judgement until I've seen a few episodes.
Of course, no matter how good it is, we will people b*tch about how Viz "destroyed" Bleach. Just because they use "Soul Reaper" instead of "Shinigami" or "Death God".

I like Ichigo's voice. Rukia's is okay I guess, but could be better.

IMO this is the best dub I've seen in a while. Ichigo and Rukia's VA's really got into their characters. Which seems its going to get even better. Hearing Rukia say Zanpakutou in english sounded funny.
Chad does not (least it didn't sound like it) have a mexican accent.
Orihime's VA fits perfectly. Tatsuki and the gang sound good too.
Orihime will take getting used too. But her VA is spot on for her "Klutz" side.
did anyone else find it funny when Ichigo called Rukia a nut job? I was ROFLMAO!
