I've just started watching the series, and...Nina dies!
Can I expect more terrible things like this to happen?

They all Die when Ed mistakenly turns the wold into a giant rubix rube.....

Anyways...i am not a fan of the series, but i have seen some episodes that get pretty emotional.

Yes lots of things die. Some with little to no real reason or served no real purpose. And some things don't die even though they should have because someone had their head up their *** and completely missed it. And there is a large amount of puppies that are killed because who doesn't like watching puppies dies....I'm so bitter :)

Just as I suspected, as long as Roze and winry don't die it's okay.... If they do die don't even say anything, just laugh about it to yourself.

Lot's of poeple die, it's like a "Let us review us to kill poeple in creative ways" anime.

Yeah, I've noticed.

Well, I'm up to episode 30, isn't it great when you're watching a series for the first time? When I started watching Naruto it was up to episode 184 so I skipped through so much filler.

You're on episode 30? It's gonna start getting a little better now. ^_^ Even with all those bad things happening. :(

I don't remember many puppies being killed. But I concur; dying puppies does so spice up a series such as this.

Roze doesn't die or come close to dying... but be prepared to be disturbed.

Just a fair warning.

In episode 52 God dies.
God had a heart attack when Tucker wasn't killed. Had another when Barry was a crossdresser and then was killed like a *****. Went into a coma when Wrath turned into a little brat. Slit his wrist when Robo-Archer came out of nowhere. Didn't eat for days when the show turned into every emo's wet dream. And then finally died from a series of stab wounds in the form of everything that didn't make in the show. God didn't make it to a episode 52 and luckily for him there wasn't one to begin with (so his children wouldn't have to suffer).....though there was a movie that was really nothing more than a waste of time because nothing was really resolved.

More useless posting By Crow. Get a life and stop spamming the FMA ANIME Threads with your ****. Noone cares and I'm sick of it.

The only death that was tragic in this series was Greed. He was My fav. Character in the series. Him, and Huges. Screw Robo Archer where the hell is Mecha Greed.

As far as deaths that have an emotional impact and aren't just a cool death, Nina and Maes Hughes and, to a lesser extent, Greed are the only ones. Heck, I wouldn't really even count Nina as a one cuz we spent so little time with her character (she was only around for like 2-4 episodes if i'm correct) but with the other characters they were there for a LONG time and you can grow attached to them.

PS, if you guys are tired of Crow-kun, ignore him. When he sees that nobody even responds/reacts to his comments he'll probally leave here and goto the Eva forum saying that Gendo is gay and Eva is the worst anime ever made.

I kinda agree with that but that's not how I would word it. -_-; The battle between Ed and Greed was really short only cause Ed had to do a whole lot of talking in between battle scenes. Seriously tho the way Greed died was weak..really weak. It should have been a little more intense if you ask me.

That scene was cool to me, but not because of Lust. Maes not only out manuvered a humongulus, but he ran a knife through her skull like it was nothing. Then he slit Envy's neck. And he isn't even an alchemist. Of course they didn't die, but Maes did get two "kills" on them. I remember the first time I saw that scene I was like, "yes, he's whopping *** on these guys while everyone else usually dies within like 5 seconds"

You mean like in the Manga?! Yeah that was a little more interesting than the anime way to kill off Greed in my opinion.

Yeah she pulls that knife out and says "Pretty good for a man." LMAO!

I agree so totally.

Maybe because they don' t know what to do with him they made him die.
Wrath is just wondering around with no meaning and signification, so... What can he do anyway?

What I find funny is that it really seems that many female FMA fans hate her so much. But most males don't have an issue with her.

Well, that's pretty obvious. <g> Probably for the same reason they created that ending sequence where she gives a dog a piggyback ride in a bra top and Daisy Dukes. I actually think that sequence is what made me start thinking evilness upon her.

Yeah, she's a mechanic...who forgets a crucial bolt, so that Ed's arm starts to fall apart during that battle with the guardian of Lab Five.

Now Marta--I liked her. She just didn't give a crap.

This is what my friend uncovered in a chat with his friend...

Appearently, Winry is "Useless" In the series to them. I honestly feel jealousy of SOMETHING when so many dislike a character. There are innumerous amounts of anime females hated by female fans of that show alone, and like said, still the guys don't care and never complain about the useless male characters, nor do we care.

I myself, see nothing wrong with Winry.

Cmon, FMA has all these "Pretty Boys" such as Ed, Roy and Envy for the fangirls, why can't the fanboys get anyone in FMA? Cmon. :S

I have no problem with hot chicks in an anime.... and lord, it's not jealousy. I'm too old and too based in reality to be jealous of a character in an anime.

I just don't know why it's required they be giggling dingbats. Just because you're pretty doesn't mean you can't be tough. I like the female homunculi better, frankly--they have attitude. Better looking, too.

Well, not EVERY anime character is tough..male or female. Everyone has to get over that. Just because one is too girly is not a reason to hate someone. I could bring about a long rant on how Shuichi from Gravitation fits into this, but I would rahter not. Fact is that it is more realistic. There will ALWAYS be girly girls, giggly girls, and dingbats, and that is how the world is...there are people like that. Same with guys but girls never complain over any of the guys characteristics :-" Maybe all the fanboys should start this kind of hatred to the male characters! Oo...A rebellion against Ed or Envy would be fun *_*.

Nah, nobody has to get over anything--that's the beauty of opinions. They're personal like that. I don't have to like the dingbats, and those who do don't have to apologize for it.

I just like my anime dark, evil, and with lots of battles, and I hate it when that's interrupted by giggling and romantic entanglements. FMA has enough of that I can ignore Winry. I'm actually looking for more like that--I currently watch Inuyasha, GITS, Trinity Blood, Bleach, Eureka 7, Samurai Champloo and Naruto, so any suggestions for dark nasty stuff with a minimum of dingbats is welcome.

There are enough out there. Hellsing, Elfen Lied, Gantz, Apocolypse Zero, and heck, GITS SAC can be pretty freaky

Might gross some out, so I Spoilered it:
(Like the episode with the killer who kills girls by cutting the wrists, neck, waist and down the middle, and opens their chest like a shirt)

Like i said, she is there for the fanboys to like. IF anyone has a problem with it, then do as they want. "Dingbats" as you call them are usually the kinds of girls fanboys love, so it is only natural that the FMA creator tries to please everyone.
