I tried searching, but I dont think the feature is working right now (it could be just the computer I'm on). Anyway I was wondering what exactly is "Anime Legends", a company? And what do they do, release new versions of dvd's? Are these versions better, or what?

Sorry to have so many questions, but can someone clear this up for me, at least a little bit please...

If I recall correctly, Anime Legends is Bandai's budget label. In other words, when they've made enough profit from a title to justify cutting the price, they make a cheap thinpack or brick and release it as the "Anime Legends" set.

It's just the whole series in one brick like boxset and includes all the extras the original volumes did.

If you see any series under the Anime Legends label i recommend picking it up!

Sorry but I can't agree with this. Just cause its cheap you can't justify wasting money regardless. You should only spend money on series that your intrested in or you will be broke before you know it. Just a piece of advice ;)

Ive seen a sticker with "Anime Legends" on some DVDs but that might just be a promotion at HMV.

QFT, if you go around buying random series you might end up with something terrible, like any Gundam series.

I fixed your post.

The 08th MS Team & 0080 bricks are very much worth it but Wing is a pass.

I get all these gundams confused, because I've only gotten into one I think, which one is it where that each country has like its own gundam and the main character is from japan (I think)? He has black hair and...sorry thats all I remember. I know this is off topic but w/e I was just wondering.

I believe your thinking of G Gundam. Its released in 2 bricks, each set has around 25 episodes. Its unlike any other Gundam because its a Super Robot anime. I thought it was very enjoyable & my favorite AU.

Well, those aren't Anime Legends releases. Only G Gundam and Gundam Wing have been released under the Anime Legends label, and both are among the top 50-or-so anime of all time, with Wing being the most successful Gundam series stateside. *nod nod*

I never said they were Anime Legends. Although there really isn't much of a difference because they are also bricks with a really low price. Only thing missing is the "Anime Legends" label.

i personally think Anime Legends collections are ugly as hell...though it is nice having complete collections that are affordable...still i would only buy them if the price of the thin pack or box set was WAYYY too expensive

Well, I'm not sure about Anime Legends releases yet as my first ones are on the way. But I know that even after ground shipping to Canada I got the entire Crest/Banner of the Stars series for less than $100 with the Bandai sale, can't complain about that (yet).

I'm kinda slightly ticked at myself. I bought "Love hina" about 2 years ago, mabey 2 dvds. Now I'm trying to finish it off and I can't buy the box sets of them because I'll have extra DvDs of what I have. Both the Tv/Movies.

Yeah, I totally agree with that statement. For some reason I just don't like the "Anime Legends" on the box. But if I could get them for so much less, than I don't think I would turn them down.
