No I don't wear the Che T-Shirts, because I don't know enough about him to support him, but I still support Fidel. I watched a documentary which was aired in Canada, on Canada TV made by Canadians. The objective country. It showed how some of the video clips the American media broadcasted, and showed those same clips but at a different angle. For example, there was one the US aired. It was supposed to show the Castro supporters standing on a bridge and shooting bullets down at a crowd. The anchors were like "this is horrible, they are firing into a crowd of dozens of people, who can't run because it's so crowded" and all that, but then, the Canadian reporters showed the same time, same people, same moment, but different angle, and it showed that there were no protestors in the street, and that in fact, there were snipers in the buildings sniping at THEM, and they were firing back defending themselves.
I'm not really one of those people that go along with popular culture. I'll admit, I used to, just because it was what everyone else was doing, but then, I tried taking objective views at everything. For example, some people think the gov't bombed the towers. I used to believe it blindly, but now, it's not really my number one theory anymore. It's still there, because the explosions, and the building collapsing did look planned, but I'm not going to comment anything on that matter until I research into it myself.
I know one thing for certain. That BS about the plane having a missle is crap. I looked at another video, and looked for the "burst" or whatever that was supposed to come out of the missle, but in every other video, it's not there, so it was edited in.
PS: Sorry for the long, and off topic post. Just to let you know, nothing really political in it, just explaining myself

Canadians are as objective as Walter Duranty. Castro is a Stalinist dictator who has killed thousands, just like the Soviet Union in the thirties he has excellent allies in the media that cover up or out and out deny what goes on there.
Che was a cold blooded murderer who ordered the deaths of over 5,000 Cubans (men women and Children) and personally oversaw and participated in 180 killings. This is not counting the people killed when he led Revolutionary movements in Central and South America. He was also key in setting up the Sovet Style reeducation camps were protestors and anyone who was inconveinient could be put and dealt with.
Haveing been stationed at Guantanemo and traveling to Cuba twice I can tell you the nice cleaned up version the Agitprop presents to the world is not going on. It is a decaying rotten state, were racism and the homeless and dispossesed are ever present. Unfortunatly all you will ever see are carefully managed shots staged for Western leftist to pat themselves on the back and say "See it can work"

Unfortunatly all you will ever see are carefully managed shots staged for Western leftist to pat themselves on the back and say "See it can work"Even if he has supporters in the media, pictures don't lie. The same clip I saw on the US version of the news saying that they were slaughtering millions was shown on Canadian TV, except it SHOWED that there were no demonstrators there, and instead, it showed snipers in the near by buildings. but even if the Canadians were biased n their report, all of that still doesn't change the fact that the US media also changed the story. And everyone they showed that was against Castro happened to be in a nice house, WAAAY better looking even then my own. That speaks for something in itself, and even in the American media, they showed all of Castro's supporters were a) the majority and b)the minority. Majority meaning, more people supported him than were against him, and minority meaning they were the ones that weren't the best off. So if they can relate to him so well, it shows he stood for the little people. And even in war, there are casualties. Bush is currently killing people in Iraq and in Lebanon and almost everywhere else in the Middle East. For me, Castro stands for more than just his politics. He is a symbol of resistance for me. The little guy that wouldn't stand down, and wouldn't take **** from anyone. That's why he's my hero.
And I won't say anything on Che, because I haven't researched into that yet.
(I don't think we should be getting into politics here. It really would be nice to see the SD&D back with objective points of view in there)

So you are baseing your entire concept of Cuba off of a CBC documentary. I have seen first hand what Castro does to his people I have done marked research for my degree on Castroism and what he has managed to get away with under the scope fo the media.

And I don't get the picture of North Korea. Are you trying to be sarcastic or are you actually saying they are a fun bunch of people? Really, none of us here can judge what kind of fun they have. It's a matter of culture. In my culture, it's rude to extend your hand to a woman unless she extends it to shake hands first, but in Western culture, it is rude to not extend you hand period. What I'm trying to get at is this: you (might) think they're bland and no fun, they think we (Western "Civilization") are a bunch of pigs with no sense of manners and honor.

Castro and Che Are idiots.
My Grandfather died in a Cuban prison and was personaly put their by Ernesto Guevara. The So called hero.
Fidel has half of my family on an island of poverty and the other half that were able to leave due to the freedom flights had everything taken away minus the cloths they wore. Argue for Fidel all you want but its disgusting that anyone can have a misconception of what happened and is happening over their.
I was recently talking to someone about the situation with Hezbollah and Israel and I was shocked and why she thought israel was in the wrong.
"They have real advanced weapons and the others have rocks!"
And thats a ****ing reason to attack? Lets ignore everything the terrorist do to israel over the past years and focus on the cluster bombs they used recently to attack the Hezbollah troops hiding behind women and children.
Slash Disgusted.
