Ok I feel really stupid about asking this question ive seen all the Neon Genesis Evangelion episodes and End Of Evangelion, now can some one explain the ending of it all, I kinda have the idea but even google isn’t helping so anyone

While it's possible to explain the events that took place, due to the unusual style of presentation, there will always be a certain degree of ambiguity regarding those events. It's possible to determine which is the most probable interpretation of the evidence on display, by looking closely at the clues which are given, but the meaning of the events is more important than simply the fact of them. This is always going to be subject to considerable debate, and it's too great of a matter to approach all at once in a single post.

There are, as SmartShark has stated, many threads in which users of this forum have discussed the possible interpretations, but in the end, it is up to each of us to look at the evidence, and decide what you believe to be the most correct interpretation. I don't agree with those who say that there is no definite meaning, but I do believe that the correct meaning of all possible events may never be understood perfectly.

The basic ending is very simple. The "third impact" is initiated, which begins the "complementation" of all souls into a single living organism. However, before the process is complete, Rei Ayanami (who has become one with Lilith) stops the process, due to the emotional attachment she has formed with Shinji Ikari.

Everything beyond that is more a question of "why" and "how" than it is of "what".

Even if we take this statement to be accurate, it's still full of crackpot theories, many of which can be either proved to be false, or stated to have a high probability of being false. It's likely to harm as much as it helps.

Don't feel stupid. "WTF?!" is an overused comment when it comes to NGE/EoE. At least, with the people I know.

Most of whom watch until 15~19, then toss it away and ignore its existence...sigh.
