I have some bad news for all you Stargate SG-1 fans out there. I came across an article it says that SCI FI Channel confirmed that it will not renew its record-breaking original series Stargate SG-1 for another season. check it out

I kinda felt kinda sorry for the cast of the show though.

They announced it at the 200th episode celebration. Sci Fi is slipping into total suckage. All they show are crappy Z movies and wrestling.

This is going to be their 10th season. Without RDA, the show just isn't as good. So, really, it's about time for the show to sign off.

I've always liked SG-1, but it started going downhill after season 5. The writing in the later seasons was mediocre at best. I figured the show was on borrowed time. As for Atlantis, it's not going to be around much longer, either, unless the stories improve massively in the next season.
BSG is the only good thing SciFi's got left.....

So for example, if Stargate SG-1 does get cancelled then who show will they (SCI-FI Channel) replace it with?

P.S.
I just hope that it's not Dr. Who. By the way, for example what happends if Dr. Who does replace Stargate SG-1?

Yeah I know, I started watching it on the SCI-FI Channel couple years ago when General Hammon and Jack O'Neil was on the show. But your right, this show was on borrowed time. Well since, SG-1 is going to get cancelled soon, I theorized that the next show that's going to be cancelled for this year or next year (2007) would be either Stargate Atlantis? or Battlestar Galactica (Reimaged version)?

They'll keep BSG, as it's about the only good show they have left. I predict characters from SG1 will make frequent guest appearences on Atlantis. Atleast until it, too, gets cancelled.
BTW, the new Dr. Who show is pretty decent, hope they keep it....

Well, i am a Huge stargate fan, and yes this does sadden me, but i would rather have the show end on a good Streak rather than have it fade off into suckville like Dragonball and Inuyasha.

Atlantis still has some potential, i watch that. I do agree with Berny though, all their gay *** movies are pissing me off.

atlantis would be better if every episode didnt involve some doomsday scenerio.

Well it seems that the T.V. show Stargate SG-1 is making a comback to the SCI-FI Channel with all new episodes and this show is going to debute this coming April along with the other T.V. show Stargate: Atlantis. check it out

That's kinda odd, I was under the impression that this show is going to get cancelled by order of the SCI-FI Channel. The one thing I don't understand is why are they bringing back Stargate SG-1 if they already cancelled it?

P.S.
SCI-FI Channel has gone crazy in bring back a show that was already been cancelled in other words, Stargate SG-1. I think that they are blowing this show out of the water.

I heard that they were at least gonna give it a finale in a few straight-to-DVD movies

It the Viacom curse.

It's like the midas touch, except everything it touches, turns to crud.

I see that Viacom TV stations are gonna implode upon themselves.

SciFi channel has fallen from grace with me when they no longer showed Anime.

Oh come on people, I think SG1 is the best thing to happen to TV in decades (I was there when TV was black and white too).

But 10 seasons is a long time. It was supposed to end at season 7, thus we had 3 years more than was planned.

Atlantis is great, I suspect it will not stop till it's had its time too.

Have heard about the two new feature films as well for SG1.

If Scifi has nothing grand to replace SG1, too bad for Scifi channel. But as I own more dvd TV series than I can count, I am unworried I might actually have to watch some of them more than once :)

My current second place series is BSG. But I am not sure how many seasons they can milk out of it. I suspect 5 seasons might be the limit. They have thought of a spin off though.

They should've give this show (Stargate SG-1) a proper send off then cancel it instead of leaving us hangin and then pull the plug.

I love Stargate SG-1.

But I haven't watched a new episode in years. Really I wouldn't care too much if it got canceled. I haven't watched the Scifi channel in years. And they stopped showing MST3K, which was beyond lame.

I'd have cancelled this series anytime after the replicators got introduced... when it became obvious that the ongoing plot wasn't really going anywhere. That's when I quit watching.
