What a cute and informative cartoon.
Nothing really strange, just a different approach to things.

It had more plot than half the anime out there in this day and age. Good find. The little turd bomb the kid crapped out was cute though.

Two thoughts:
1) Was that Kikuko Inoue (Belldandy, Sister Yukariko, Kasumi Tendo) voicing the mother?
2) I started singing "I'm Sensei Hankey, the Obon poo... Hajimemashite to all of you!"

The little kid at the end creeped me out, vocally straining to happy music while deficateing is just creepy.

I'm sampling this in my next track I'm producing, just at a higher pitch, I'm calling it toiletcore: defecation at 400 BPM

I can only imagine one of our kiddy tunes signing while..."learning". Now that would be creepy. This wasn't much of a shock factor for me, consider more then half of the Japanese comercials I've seen on various stations sang sang SANG about the product constantly.
I suppose it's the norm on a commercial/potty training video to sing, maybe to rememeber the product with more clarity or something.
On a hardly related note, Japanese toilet's are pretty interesting in themselves. (either the standrad complex one's or the occasional annoying sqaut one's in public restrooms/ryokan.^^; )

Hahahahahahahaha imagine if parents actually stood around the child like that and sang, then cheer when he was done his "work".
I saw the commercial a while ago and found it funny.

I saw the commercial a while ago and found it funny.I've potty-trained one child and have been around quite a few others when they were trained. Let me tell you there is a lot of cheering (and sometimes bribery) involved in the process. But I can't say I know anyone who sang.

All boys do until your tall enough to actually reach the toilet.

Hahaha yeah I'd imagine, but the singing I think would be a little far and maybe the singing.

That beat the **** out of sesame street...
Puns aside I think it was cute. I will record so that when I have kids a few years (okay, months) from now, they will learn just like the cat or whatever its supposed to be.

That beat nothing out of Seasame street. Uhm Cookie monster FTW!
Back on Topic it was weird but I find most anything relating to children creepy if it was made after 2000.
