Hey sorry to disturb anyone but this quote on Wikipedia really bugs me:
There have been pictures depicting the few moments where 04 was going to explode. Details of these pictures are in fact 04 also going in beserk. Pictures have shown 04's armor being torn apart into the winds somehow mysteriously and destroying several buildings.
If anyone knows where u get these pictures could u holla?

I saw that a while ago and was intrigued. I haven't found any however.
For some reason I doubt that they are official GAINAX artwork. Also, this IS Wikipedia afterall, it can be edited by anyone. Just the other day I removed a poorly written paragragh from the Dragonball section talking about Super Saiyan 5-10 etc.

Yep, and you should have seen its section on Naoko Akagi. It didn't even make sense!

The "tearing off it's Armour and going berserk might be a reference to images that appeared on the model kit box.

I have NO idea what that person at Wikipedia is babbling about. I went ahead and killed it. (REASON: "sauce plzkthx".)
Random: Hah, I'm sort of amazed to see that some of my edits to the various Eva entries as Anonymous from EONS ago are still there. "Ah, good, somebody's been inspired enough by my rantings to put some accurate information there. Hey, wait... 'The humanoid entity beneath the armor has dark brown skin, two emerald-green eyes, four small nostrils positioned preorbitally, and red blood.' ... 'The long jaws have red muscular lips, metal-plated teeth, a large grey tongue, and profuse large quantities of saliva.' Ohhhhhh, I see."

Yup, you can't go wrong with stating the obvious. :P

I think you missed the point. There were some very "Reichu" tidbits in there, but generically written enough that the contributor wasn't necessarily me. But the wording of some items, like those descriptive bits, made the lights go off. I was surprised; Wiki didn't take kindly to various other Anonymous contributions from me.
BTW, fail. You'd be surprised how many people don't know about the "four small nostrils positioned preorbitally". (How many people even know what "preorbitally" means?)

Nothing related to the topic, but it helps to have the thread name be something that actually says what you're appealling for. Just sayin'.

.....ahh well what the heck. Well it wouldn't hurt Gainax to produce some more Unit-04 artwork.

It has to be said, wikipedia updates itself quickly. During E3 it changed about once every six seconds...Hey, what is this the wikipedia appreciation page? Get back to the point!
Oh and I would like to mention that my previous comment about Reichu's entry was simply relating to the fact that what was written was obviously true, and therefore unlikely to be changed.
Oh, and thanks to whoever edited the Naoko section. It was doing my head in but I couldn't think as to how to rewrite it. Cheers!:)

Here's something I found cute just now...
2000
September
...
-13- Dr. Akira Katsuragi dies.
Made me keekle a little; guess it's official now or something.
As an aside, damn wiki can piss me off sometimes. It can be great when you need to look up some tidbit you can't quite remember, but when it's wrong it's like getting thrown a concrete life preserver from the "HMS WTF".

^*Interesting, but also shows how fan concoctions can became inter-reality, and not always for such trvial matters such as fan naming. But we all know this.
*WTH, I thought it was cool. :P

Dr. AKIRA Katsuragi

And just when I was thinking about calling it something less strong than "fanon" in the Geektionary, too...
I looked to see who pulled this one. On June 21, Anonymous changed "Dr. Katsuragi" (as the one who died @ 2I) to Yui Ikari. (?!?) Five minutes later, Freedman changed it back, but, instead of "Dr. Katsuragi", it became "Dr. Akira Katsuragi". How did "Akira" migrate to the Wikipedia userbase and, along the way, gain canonical status?
But I fixed it. Two months up there uncorrected -- time to sit back and wait for Akira's ascent into legend... Next thing you know, some random Wiki user (no one we know) is going to mention some "possibility that Kaworu is actually female".
"HMS WTF" -- win.
EDIT: Oh dear, both the Polish and Spanish versions of the page followed suit. @_@
But according to Google, that appears to be the extent of Akira's extra-ANF corruption of the Interbutt. Awwwww.

"possibility that Kaworu is actually female"
I expect the rampant use of gender-neutral pronouns in the near future over yonder.
"HMS WTF" -- win.
It's very much like a petrol tanker disguised a firetruck. When you are being burned alive, you desire the later greatly, you eagerly await its arival, and yet, when that time comes, you realize that what comes to your aid is not what you ordered but, in fact, the "H.M.S. WTF" ready to do absolutely nothing to improve your situation.
