Somewhere around 200, I think - though I think the episode count has surpassed 200 by this point. (You'd have to ask the folks in the Naruto forum to be sure. I'm not 100% sure, because I don't follow the anime.)

There is no exact number. Its still a ongoing anime. So far its at 197 I think.

I like how she put it in Japanese, and people still get it, although I forgot what the る was for a sec. But yeah, it's been said, it's ongoing, and assuming it will go as far as the manga, well over 300 episodes can be expected.

Episode 197 aired in Japan last Wednesday. The series though is still ongoing with no end in sight. ^^

isn't Naruto written in katakana??
SonRyu

^ correct, it should have been in katakana, not hiragana.
SakuraDreamer, next time use www.animenewsnetwork.com for all your episode count, OP/ED song, and seiyuu needs. Much easier than starting a thread...

The only series I've ever followed that reached hundreds of episodes was The Simpsons, and even that got old years and years ago. I think 20-30 episodes are the sweet spot. Otherwise you're just dealing with dozens of episodes of nothing but filler, fluff and repeated themes.

Do you honestly think we care?
Thank you for passing a basic Japanese Highschool class. We don't care.

All series should be at least 26 episodes and no more than 52, which is what I think Fullmetal Alchemist was...and that was a good series. Otherwise you're beating a dead horse.
Or do what Sailor Moon did and at least rename every season.

Not necessarily. Look at Monster, which is around 70 episodes, and I've heard nothing but praise for it being a masterpiece.
A series should be as long as it takes to properly (i.e. not rushed or dragged out) tell the story. Sadly, anime usually has to be a certain number of episodes (12,13,24,26,39, or 50, with a few exceptions here and there). Once a series is longer than 50 episodes, it can be whatever length it wants/needs. Having to fit into certain number of episodes causes various problems for many series.

Actually, "ナルト" is written in "エイゴ". The "カタカナ" is just to help with pronounciation (in full the title is "NARUTO -ナルト-").
そして, サクラドリーマがANNOYING TROLLだってばよ!!
I'd say what this means, but I don't think SakuraDreamer-san would want to know! >_<

I'm pretty sure she can figure it out. I think she just started to finally get some Japanese and now just wants to show off.

Sakura, if you want to speak Japanese so much, feel free to go to the appropriate thread (http://animenation.net/forums/showthread.php?p=5890883)
