I used to buy manga from tokyopop and viz. However I was displeased with the edits they make, so I started buying the original japanese manga online in their original language. Trouble is, I dont speak japanese. Naturally I search for translations and I find them most of the time. I cant seem to find translations for some of the more obscure titles though. Anyone know a good site with lots of translations for manga?

well, since you're actually BUYING the original manga, you could probabaly look for scanlations, in addition to the translations, guilt-free. There are probably way more scanlations around than just script translations.

A lil off topic, but where is a good place to buy import manga? AN's selection is bad and my local anime store doesnt carry any.

Just a suggestion: If you learn how to read it in it's original form it'll probaably save you a lot of hassle over your life-time. That's what a friend of mine did.

I get mine through a local place called Books Japan, but it used to be associated with Iwase Booksellers, sort of an International chain, much like Kinokuniya.

I've been thinking about this for a while. I'll definitely take this wise suggestion into consideration.

BTW, I hate scanlations and don't plan on ever using them.
