What articles of clothing, or styles of clothing, would you not be caught dead wearing? Can be both general items, as well as given items at a specific kind of event.
My list:
- strapless anything. Way too beyond my comfort level. Not very empowering either.
- flip-flops to places other than the beach or the pool.
- supertight clothes, as well as anything that bares midriff (other than a swimsuit)
- mules, pointy shoes, high heels, or any shoes that are uncomfortable and/or cannot be worn with socks/hosiery.

I don't wear high heels and don't think I ever will. Tight clothes? Nope not my style. I prefer loose and comfy always. ^_^

- bell bottoms, tie dye shirts, or basically any other "retro" clothing (if it died 30 years ago please just let it die)
- "damaged" pants sold at trendy mall stores (if I wanted a pair of pants that were torn and stained I'd look in my closet for clothes I worked on my car with, and save myself 50 bucks)
-bandannas, headbands, baseball hats (I look stupid in them so I avoid them unless I have to wear them)
-"angry slogan" t-shirts (if I think your an idiot I'll let you know I don't need a t-shirt to say it for me)
I think that pretty much covers it.

I would never wear:
Tight clothes
Tye dye anything
Whatever the hell this is supposed to be (http://www.jinx.com/scripts/details.asp?affid=-1&productID=508)

Tangas.
I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing all black clothing. I need my color.
I don't like high heel sandels that are still so fashionable. Yeggh. They are bad for your ankles!!! I'm not ashamed of my very short height. I only wear flat shoes.
I don't think I'll ever wear ranchero clothing, I'm just not the type.
I'd never wear Risport figure ice skates. They are too uncomfortably hard.
I'd be dead first before wearing the Hip-Hop fashion. Especially putting gold squares with encrusted diamonds on my teeth. Stupid.

Other stuff I would never wear:
- gangsta/hip hop clothing
- acid washed jeans
- torn jeans that look like you fell on a prickly pear cactus
- thong underwear. Tried it at home, but way too uncomfortable.
- shirts that say "porn star" or "spoiled brat" or stuff like that.

Well I would look ridiculous in a strapless dress with high-heeled thong sandals.
However, put me in a wrap shirt, a flowy skirt, knee-high boots, and nice make-up, and I will look like a superstar out of a fashion magazine.

I'll try wearing just about anything once, I like the challenge ^_^
There are a few things though.
Socks with Sandals-Use to be infamous for doing this, it does not work.
Bubble Jackets- As cool as I thought they were, way too bulky and I got tired of being profiled -_-; Although there pretty good in the rain.
Stripes- Simply HATE anything in stripes, they don't hide ****.

I heard that "socks with sandals--no, no" stuff... I think it was in Clueless or something... But I love wearing socks with my sandals... :P Not with shorts though, that would look stupid...
I like striped rugby tops, polo shirts, t-shirts... I really like the simple ones with the red and black stripes or blue and yellow ones...

I strongly disagree, I think those pants look terrible and tacky. Either that or the type of girl that usually wears them looks terrible.
I would never wear anything Diesel. I just don't like the brand.
I would never wear flipflops out in the street. Or shorts either. Men wear pants dammit! No matter how hot it gets!

same. I'll wear anything really, I just want clothes. But when I'm out with friends, I'll never try to look preppy or like Marylin Manson. Some of my shirts are tight, some kind of baggy. Can't be bothered to be picky. I'll wear all black once in a while, but i think blue ****ies look pretty good with a black shirt. But my blue ****ies don't have that extra cell phoen pocket I like  so I'll wear all black once in a while.
My shoes are funky though. Red and black laces, laced cross bar on Chuck Talyor low converse. Other than that, I have ugly doc martens for school(uniform code) and muddy running shoes.
BTW- Doc Martens are terrible, my school uniform code requires I wear black leather shoes w/ clear soles.. WTF?? I know.

A Scarface t-shirt.I think it depends on the girl wearing them... The clothes you wear is only as good as how you carry yourself overall... There are a lot of gorgeous girls here in Vancouver and whenever they wear something like that, it never fails me to look at their tush... Sweatpants for (athletic) girls are really sporty sexy...
I don't really pay much attention to Diesel, but they're alright... I hate their humongous watches though... I think they're ugly...
If you live by the seaside, or a tropical country, shorts and flip-flops are totally fine for guys...
I don't think I've seen anybody wear Scarface t-shirts...

****ies shirts are so hard to find here in Canada, but I do have a red ****ies cap (the trucker-type caps)...
Funny you mentioned, but I'm also thinking of buying a pair of All-Star Converse sneakers (yeah, the Chuck Taylor one)--black of course... I also love wearing skater shoes (I have a brown DVS) even though I've never ridden a skateboard since I was eleven... I can totally wear them semi-formally... K-Swiss, FILA, Vans whatever looks good...
And I personally like Doc Martens leather shoes... Another type of shoe I can wear either semi-formally or casually...

A guy at work today was wearing a pink polo shirt. And he had a sling beige bag- dunno what could it have carried, may have been his lunch or medications.
I love Dr. Martens. Especially the Mary Janes. I have had various pairs.
I like preppy clothes like those from the Gap and American Eagle. That said, I have only owned one shirt from Abercrombie and Fitch, and absolutely nothing from Hollister or Aeropostale.

 Its embarassing seeing grown men with these. Its not a insecure thing, they just look hilarious.Yeah, I never got those long striped socks... Really odd for grown men to wear those...
Another odd thing I see nowadays are those brightly coloured plastic (or rubber) shoes/sandals that are supposed to be very comfortable on your feet... Couldn't they at least made some with non-bright colours?... It's really weird seeing people wear dark clothes with these really bright sandals...
I like preppy clothes like those from the Gap and American Eagle. Yeah, I buy a lot from The Gap and AE... My favourite jacket is a snorkel parka from The Gap... But overall, I think most their clothes are really plain and sucky... (espceially when they include something "grundge-y" like ripped stiches at the end of their flatcaps or those really weird patterns that goes all around the shirt... Bah!...
And pink are okay for guys... Only polo shirts though, not wifebeaters or t-shirts though... I know a guy who won't wear yellow 'cuz he thinks it's "girlie"... I love wearing yellow (darkish egg yolk yellow are even better)...

Yeah, pink are totally fine IMO... If they're buttoned shirts... Though I'd never wear them... Not my colour... I go with blues (royal blue), whites, blacks, grays, olive greens, browns, mostly earthy colours with some warms like red or yellow... These are my colours...

1. Sltrapless Stuff. Weird...
2. Um, low heels. Oogly! I guess like maybe below 2 inches or somethin'. It's either flat or high... I don't do Halfway. Well, actually, I may occasionally do Halfway, but you better believe I'm not happy about it.
3. White slacks. Um, it's not that I don't like White pants, it's just... I don't trust myself wearing a white bottom. Dust/Crap/Junk seem to always find me...
4. The Shirts with like the Raunchy Slogans. I'm too square for that.
5. Anything G-Unit. Gosh Darned, Gorilla Unit! Hmm, or was that Guerilla Unit? I've actually seen both in stores. Maybe one's like an Off-Brand... or the Good Folks at G-Unit Clothing are a wee bit confused. Whatever...
6. Basketball Shoes. Can't do it.
7. Sandals with socks. Okay, I've finally gotten used to dudes doing it, but girls... sorry, blah!
8. Real Fur.
9. Leather clothing [other than jackets/coats] just looks so tacky, imo.
And, I hate young dudes with flabby... "undefined" arms in muscle shirts. Sleveless T's ≠ Muscle Shirts.

It was capped off with a white tie and panama hat. I wanted a mint green fedora for that suit but could never find one. I don't wear jeans hardly at all (because I don't have any...and they just make people look like bums in my opinion), and stick to mostly khaki and dress pants. I also wear longer skirts (short skirts are too revealing for me...so...I stay away from them in most cases).
I would never wear tight, skanky clothing that bared my midriff or...um......showed off my other assets... @_@. And, I usually stay away from mini skirts/shorts (although I do own a pair or two, thanks to my aunt...ugh....). I don't where those..um...'cami' things that look like underwear >_<. I just don't know why girls wear such revealing clothing nowadays....I mean, some of it just does NOT leave anything to the imagination...

Preppie Clothing not because of the look but because of the mindset of the people that normally wear that clothing. I know Generalizing but from what Ive seen in my high school its normally just imature teens looking to become popular at all costs. Nothing wrong with the clothing itself but like I said. For my area I dont want to be thrown into that category.
I am into the Indie/Retro Rocker Scene that people like Julian Casablancas wear and stuff that the guys in Ok Go Wear. Paesly Suits FTW!
But it all depends. And I wear pink button down shirts with a White tie and a suit (Minus Jacket gotta keep it light) some times when I want to be formal. Normally for me though its jeans two White Studded Belts, Leather Kenneth Cole Reaction Shoes, an Express Shirt with some sort of JAcket that needs Fur (Winter Atire) and my Aviators. For Summer Jeans (Tight or Loose I wear Both) The Leather Reactions or normal DC Skate Shoes and a good artistic shirt of some kind with a hoodie. I love my hoodies.

I don't wear jeans hardly at all (because I don't have any...and they just make people look like bums in my opinion)...
Wait... what? You can't be serious.
A vast majority of the population would look like hobos, then.
No offense but I don't think any article of clothing that bares your midriff is "skanky." I think they're fashionable and hot. Also, what you wear doesn't define who you are as a person, which is why I brought up the whole "skanky" issue.
Camisoles are also rather chic, and not all of them are that revealing. You just need to know where to look to find cute ones. No doubt, most camisoles are considered to be lingerie, but there are also many others that are suitable enough to be worn as casual, flirty tops. Contrary to popular belief, the latter are suitable to be worn outside the confines of your own home.
Seriously, if you've got it, flaunt it.
....sometimes I wonder why they bother wearing anything at all--it's not like their lingerie-looking tight-enough-to-be-skin outfits really cover up anything...@_@.
Yeah, kudos to anyone who gets sued for indecent exposure!

I've dressed as a priest. After that, I think pretty much anything's fair game.
I tend to dress practically, without much eye for looking 'fashionable'. Fashions go out of style, but a warm sweater is always a warm sweater in the cold of a Maine winter. I'll dress up to business casual, professional or formal as the occasion calls for it. I go for solid colors that go well together generically. I don't like to think about what I'm wearing very much.
As for things I wouldn't wear? I can't think of anything. I can think of lots of things I'd never buy or want to own, but if I had it and it worked, I'd wear it. I'd never buy a hawaiian shirt, for example, but I've worn them.

Okay, I might just be naively asking this but what's the deal with the brand phobia? I don't understand classifying clothes by their brand.
AE and Abercrombie might scream 'prep' from their ads or whatnot but there's some torn jeans and 'unpreppy' clothes in their stores. Banana Republic might scream 'classy, polished lifestyle look' but I've found some of the ugliest coats and shirts in there.
Instead of shopping for clothes that we like, it's like we're shopping because for the brands we like or don't like. Puts a new spin on clothes shopping.

$50 for a sweater maybe, but I haven't seen a tshirt at AE that sells for that much. Abercrombie has, for sure.
There's also many stories out there about Big Foot and some say they've seen him. I'm not discrediting your friends but AE has never been sued for discrimination practices, it's Abercrombie.
My point was, what's the point with brand shopping instead of clothes shopping. Buy clothes that you want, no matter the brand. If we start boycotting brands because employees are treated unfairly or because of the immoral practices of companies, we might as well boycott, diamonds for instance, shoes or other clothes because most clothes and shoes are created in sweat shops.

Now the threads at that message board have turned towards SHOES.
I hate shoe shopping. I only go to replace pairs that wore out. There are at least 3 kinds of shoes I would like to get- but I have been procrastinating about it due to lack of space among other things.
However, the girls over there are very fond of Manolos and Jimmy Choos and other uncomfortable contraptions that cost a week's pay. They are oohing and ahing over them. They are not supportive. They look painful. And they confirm they DO cause pain and are not practical to walk in. And that if a shoe is not painful, then it probably isn't cute- and that if it is cute, it is painful as well.
I think it is against my honor code to wear such things. To me, cute = comfortable. Now now, there are many kinds of comfortable shoes I would NEVER wear- Birkenstocks, Crocs, flip-flops, etc. But why oh why can't grown women wear the shoes that ARE cute AND comfortable on little girls without scrutiny?

A girl in my German class would have ones involving a stupid monkey and accidents happening like "never juggle chainsaws" or lighting a stick of dynamite.
And my feet are killing me today because I wore sandals yesterday. It was raining cats and dogs, and I did not want to get my socks wet. But they gave me ankle blisters, even though they were otherwise comfortable and relatively supportive.
I will NEVER torture my feet wearing Manolos. I don't care what people think of me in that respect.

I don't think I ever did post a picture in this thread, even though there's one of me in my profile. Here I am with an inane smile, the other evening out in the back yard.

How did my post end up here? This was supposed to be in "post your picture"...
I'm very sorry, and a little embarrassed. I'm not the kind of noob who randomly posts unrelated crap in a thread.
