Please post in the Final Fantasy forum.

No, it doesn’t contain a Japanese voice track. Most Square games don't except for the Bouncer.

In the .hack games you could choose Japanese VA.

I doubt they'll do that for Dirge though.

Few games include both laguage tracks and I can't think of any SquareEnix games that have, so I don't expect they would for DoC.

In a perfect world, a video game and/or movie would have the original language, plus the language of whichever country it was being released in. What really irks to no end is how the Japanese voice acting exists on every game coming out of Japan, yet the American publishing groups strip it out and throw in off the street sounding voice acting in its place. Sometimes the voices are laughably bad (like Growlanser), other times they're too horrid to even stand the game (Wild Arms 4).

Nippon Ichi is the only company I know of that has been true to this for as long as I know. Even back in the PS1 days, they released Rhapsody with the option to enable Japanese songs, since only the songs had vocals back then, no voice acting. All their PS2 games have Japanese voice options :).

Anyway, all that aside, I doubt Cerberus will Japanese voice acting. Square-enix doesnt care what fans want, they just churn stuff out that they know people will buy.

Yeah is it too much to ask for both languages, Subtitles would cost less to do instead of changing the langauge but since that isnt an opition THey should give out both, and dorry for the bad typing I havea bandage around my arm and hand from giving plasma

I remember a lot of games for the Dreamcast had both languages. Then there was Alteris Iris: eternal mana, Disgaea, and other Nippon Ichi stuff....Seriously SOny, yo uthink yo uwould of learned from your horrible release of Advent Children that people also want the ORIGINAL INTENDED language in their games. I will not get this game, as a form of protest.

Tekken 4 and KOF Maximum Impact were some of the worst dubs EVER. FFX was pretty bad as well. Auron had the best VA out of them all.

Hopefully in the next generation of gaming Blu-Ray will allow for both language tracks to be optional.

Bad News I just picked up the game and there is no Origninal VAs in it, it is copmletely redone in English, poorly too, I think it is teh same VAs as the English Advent children

And if teh PS3 stays region free we can import japanese games directly

This news was the best I had heard in a long while when it came out. I'm a pretty big import gamer, even tho my Japanese skills are pretty subpar. Right now there are maybe 3 or 4 Xbox360 games I would be importing, if they would only work on my US system (which they dont :(). I dont know how long (if at all) it will take for Bullet Witch and Spectral Force 3 to come out in the states. Spectral Force 3 is an IdeaFactory game, so there's a relatively likely chance NISAmerica will bring it over, which would also mean it'll be dual language (yay!). NISA has proven that they can handle different weird formats by making PSP games, so they should be able to release a 360 game.

Uh, come again? Advent Children wasn't even a game, but it DVD come with both languages like pretty much any foreign film that contains a re-dub.

Sony doesn’t publish Final Fantasy games. Besides the majority of gamers don't want the original language. Most want a dub.

Also, there was nothing wrong with the release of Advent Children. Sony did a great job with all the extras and including the Japanese audio.

Besides none of you are entitled to anything. Be glad Square even enhance Dirge.

I don't think that was confirmed. All we ever got were tentative details. Bilingual might have been the intended agenda from the beginning and something might have got crossed over in the very sketchy early solicitation.
