I'm not sure exactly how accurate ANN usually is with their news (don't go there a lot), but I thought I'd just share this. Then again, it could be just false hope.

Also, on an unrelated note, I loved Naruto 196. Good filler episode, but that wooden puppet thing was too weird. Most of the action was pretty good, though.

Many sites stated that it's only speculation that the fillers may end. Nothing has been offically confirmed, yet. But with the title, "Konoha's Yellow Flash Appears!" you can't help but assume that the Kakashi Gaiden will start soon and the series will continue with the main story. I for one am certainly keeping my fingers crossed...

Some of the fights that I've seen in the manga will be so god damn awesome when they are animated... the manga is great, but the fights almost always look better animated...

How many fillers have there been up to now? Like 60-70? And out of all the ones I saw, only two were memorable to me.

And why the hell are they still making these fillers, anyway? Isn't the manga pretty far ahead of the anime by now? For some reason I thought they might be trying to find new voice actors for certain characters when they appear after the time jump *coughNarutocough*. But now I'm not so sure.

I hope this news is true though, because I didn't get to read all the latest manga chapters, so seeing Part II animated would get me caught up.

Right now the site it down. Sounds like great opportunity for a prankster to come up with some fake titles. Remember "Kakashi-sensei's birthday"? ANN already got the titles wrong before. Their info is as unreliable as Wiki. It would be great if 200 started the Gaiden, but here is why I don't believe it is.

197, 198, and 199 are a new filler arc staring Shikamaru. That's from Pazuzu on NF who is always right. The summary of 199.

Shikamaru informs Tsunade that there's a chance Gennou may still be alive. Shikamaru reasons that Gennou's aim was to send a warning outside the village, and draws attention to the plans of the Ninja Academy, of which they haven't been able to recover a single piece.

That sounds like the arc continues. We might be talking another 5 part arc like the Naruto/Hinata/Chouji "The Land of Vegetables" one. Another strike against 200 starting KG. Plus we have to end Part I and have Naruto leave for training. It just doesn't add up and is likely the work of a joker who thinks it's funny.

I hope I am wrong. We are nearing the end of the filler. But probably not until late Sept or Oct.

Oh god that's hilarious. "Lee and Gai's Excellent Afro Adventures!!!!", I'd pay insane amounts of money to see a story arc based around Lee and Gai and their amazing and awe inspiring youthful afro's.

But seriously, we've been through this many, many times before. I'm not believing in a single report on the fillers ending unless it's official or untill it's shown in a next episode preview.

If we are to believe recent reports coming out today, the Naruto anime fillers will come to an end with Episode 199 of the Japanese Naruto anime series, and the much awaited Kakashi Gaiden will air starting on Episode 200 and go through to Episode 204, and Part 2 of the Naruto series that has been over a year in the making will air with Episode 205. Yes, and the episode in question was splendiferous, but that was just one episode. We need more of Gai-sensei and his afro that is so breath-taking, his enemies will wet themselves and run at the sheer grandeur of it. But that may be too much. The universe was barely able to contain the aura of Afro Gai. Any more adventures of Afro Gai and the universe will not be able to contain it. Not only the universe, but Chronos himself will not be able to handle it.

Eh, at least I'm used to passing on Naruto on a weekly basis now. They can take all the time they need as far as I'm concerned. As long as they inevitably get back to it, I'm cool with it. Then it'll just be longer until we have to deal with this filler crap again. Which should mean more of a likelihood this thing will get fully animated, since the ratings should stay fairly strong then as well. Or at least fully through the Akatsuki arc, since at least that part of the manga should now safely be finished about in line with the episodes.

Yeah, you could pretty much tell it was false information from the get-go. Believe me, when an official statement is announced on when the fillers will end, the whole internet will know about it. The way I see it is... I'll believe it when I see it. Until something official is announced, no one should believe anything. Even if it sounds almost creditable, disregard it.


But seriously, some people at narutofan done this? This could be the greatest Naruto prank ever, or the most childest and immature thing Naruto fans have ever seen. Whatever the case may be, good or bad, they succeeded in their objective: to get the Naruto fans and the Naruto fan community riled up and in an uproar. Either way, it's still a juvenille prank, no matter how bad anyone wants the fillers to end.

I think you lasted about 30 more fillers than I did. I really don't have the patience for more than a short run of fillers in any anime. If they put a half-dozen fillers all together, then that's more than enough.

The fillers for Naruto can be good because they give other characters more screen time but it has been time for them too move on out of the fillers for a while now. Most of the fillers I really did like but I would like to get back to Sasuke, Itachi and the sand country, that would be nice.
